About this ebook

Here at Remington, many people are curious about this powerful book commonly known as Inspiring the Youth of America. Well, as you may know, our youth today in America are in dire need of mentorship and guidance. This book is a whole new step forward for all of us as a civilization.
For many years, and even today, young Americans wander aimlessly in a pool of confusion. They end up in meaningless careers with no past, no future, and nothing to hope for. Undoubtedly, the end result is misery and despair. The end result is poverty and surely a feeling of emptiness. Well, we at Remington, after interviewing over thirty thousand professionals, were surprised to find that many successful professionals were disgusted with vanity publications. They were disappointed with the meaningless dribble of a phone booktype registry that possibly required a magnifying glass just to read. But surprisingly enough, these professionals encouraged any use of their biography for humanitarian purposes. Undoubtedly, mentorship for our youth fell into that category. So there it was born.
Our proudest moment as publishers was laid out before us. But there was one big problem. All these people needed to be interviewed in depth, and generic biographies certainly would not inspire. So with that, we swallowed hard, and our staff got to work. Yes, it was and still is a grueling, time-consuming mission and undertaking. But in the end, as you may witness as you read this book, the content is quite spectacular and certainly worth the effort. We would also like to mention that the participants in this book also spent much time sending us information and encouraging us to make this book worthy of their efforts. Now it was up to us to uphold the dignity of these professionals and forge forward into a future where a student can explore his or her life with the ability to fulfill their own potentials.
With that, this book is presented to you today, and we hope that you share in our dream to build a better America from where it really mattersour youth.

J. Alex Ficarra

Undoubtedly, growing up during the Vietnam War, Watergate, and gas shortages can have a profound effect on a child. Also being the son of immigrant parents most certainly can lead to a traumatizing clash of cultures and the understanding of right and wrong. With that being said, the Remington Company gave me the honor of a lifetime by letting me express my thoughts in unison with telling the brilliant stories of professionals around the world. As I wrote endlessly twenty-four hours a day, I realized that our world is full of hope and real promise. I realized that it wasn’t about war, ideology, and the pursuit of global domination; I realized that, in the pages of this great book, great things were about to happen, if only these stories could be made public. I realized that I had the opportunity of a lifetime by expressing the humanitarian attributes that these professionals continually made. After many years of writing, I realized that the Remington Company had a distinct and noble purpose. Perhaps if we could not change the present, we could certainly try to change our future. With that, we created our mentorship program, which gets these prolific stories out to the children. We wrote the stories with zest but never crossed the line of respect or dignity. We wished to capture the hearts of our audience and prove to them that giving was not an option but more so our duty as life forms on our planet. Today our book has a theme, “Inspiring the Youth of America.” This theme was our way of telling the world, “Let’s hold hands and prepare our children for a better life.” Today I continue to write for the registry. My life has irrevocably changed for the better. I volunteer for anything all the time. I enjoy moments of quiet and the appreciation of our environment. I read these biographies in amazement as everyone else does, and it never seems to get uneventful. Either way, I sincerely hope you enjoy these biographies and use them to strengthen your spirit and confidence about our existence as a species on this planet. I patiently wait for divine intervention in order to write my next biography and am happy to serve the brilliant members of the Remington Registry of Outstanding Professionals. —J. _______________

Bio: Here at Remington, Inspiring the Youth of America is about choosing a path in life. Unfortunately, success many times requires the most difficult path and certainly short cuts are rare. Sometimes that path can be extremely dangerous or require uncommon risk. Sometimes it could require enormous patience, academics, and various internships. Sometimes that path can have consequences that can haunt you for the rest of your life or sometimes interfere with your personal relationships. Well, today here at Remington, perhaps we recognize a professional who choose the most difficult path. A professional who had his character and courage tested on a daily basis. A Professional who walked a tight rope every day and knew that any mistake could mean his life. A professional who understood the science of keeping cool under pressure and understands the body language of a dangerous person. Today, Remington recognizes retired detective Nicholas Cerrato. Highly awarded there are no smiles in detective Cerrato’s experiences. With over 500 arrests. going undercover is no laughing matter. A slip of the tongue or a nervous gesture can mean exposure. A twist of fate or a change in plans can mean death or worse. New York City brutal winters, scorching hot summers the 1970s. New York on the verge of bankruptcy. Budget cuts means no backup, no assistance, organized crime running wild, Mass Immigration, Drug Cartels, Over Crowded, Jail Cells, Corrupt Politicians. In the thick of it all, Detective Cerrato made intimidation the others guys problem. Sitting in his undercover cab on Roosevelt Ave, Nick and his Partner and Brother George Weckmann planned their attack, Detective Cerrato is a master at criminal behavior. With over 40 high level registered informants, Nick used his charisma. He used his street smarts. He dissected the sciences of retrieving information. Testifying on a weekly basis, Detective Cerrato was a familiar face at the Court House. Making arrests and protecting the public was his job and no level of adversity was going to stop him. Nick witnessed perhaps the most violent times in New York City history first hand. Brutality at an epidemic level. Things like Son of Sam armed robberies, money counterfeiting, it’s an incredible list and with no end in sight. As the years went on Detective Cerrato climbed the ladder. But unfortunately, the danger got even more intense. In the 1980s, Gun Traffickers, high amounts of Cocaine, and Heroin made its way into the city. South American Drug Lords pouring into queens, New York this meant Long nights under surveillance on the streets. In the end, truthfully Detective Cerrato is lucky to still be alive. We shutter at the thought of being in his shoes and are fully aware of the valor that came with the badge. After several interviews, it became apparent that Detective Cerrato was simply motivated by a feeling of personal responsibility to his community. A feeling of personal responsibility toward justice and a belief in America ethics. A professional not seeking glory or accolade, just a fierce determination and hatred of people who attack our democracy and freedoms. In the end, today perhaps a sleepless night is a consequence of heroism. Perhaps a stillness or a quiet time of reflection makes the reality all too real. Perhaps a smile from a child goes unnoticed while a grandfather relives a terrifying moment where things could have gone very wrong. In the end, we at Remington spoke about a path. As we said choosing that path may be a difficult decision. Undoubtedly, we are very thankful that Detective Cerrato choose his path. We know that we slept safe at night because of his choice and the professionals like him. At this point, we at Remington respectfully and officially recognize and award Detective Nicholas Cerrato with our Award of Valor. We do this with deep appreciation and thank him for the generosity of his time and his belief in our mentorship program. At this point, Remington offers Detective Cerrato our highest honor and welcome his inclusion.

    _______________

Bio: Thomas Cunningham’s life and career embody the American spirit and all that it stands for. Thomas is an American hero in every sense of the word. He has overcome insurmountable odds and adversities. His story is one of incredible tenacity and perseverance. Tom, an athletic champion with 360 medals, never understood the word can’t. His list of achievements is simply staggering. Thomas from an early age had to overcome spinal meningitis. In a twist of fate, Thomas used his adversity to fuel his passion. Thomas willed his way to the top of the athletics arena. His life is a symbol to all of us that anything can happen with hard work and desire. Tom’s life is more like a fantasy compared to most people. His skills and talents are so vast, it’s impossible to categorize him and we would not dare try. Thomas, a songwriter, singer and athlete just to name a few. To call Tom an athlete would be an injustice. Tom has simply done it all, from boxing to weight lifting to platform diving and a dozen other physically challenging skills. Through it all, Tom has had a one common denominator. He loves life, loves people and most of all loves the state of Texas. Thomas is a celebrity in his own right. He has a staggering list of friends, from pro football heroes to political giants and other musical artists. Most of all Tom is a can do thinker with a positive attitude. He gets an idea and wild horses couldn’t stop him. He is an internationally respected photographer, he owns his own recording studio and has even performed for the circus. As we said, his life seems like a fantasy and maybe we can go as far to say that Tom is bigger than life itself and that’s what draws us toward him and why we admire him so much. Thomas recently went into the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame. His songs are featured around the world and his success in music alone would be a monumental achievement for most people. Today, Tom dreams of an America where education is first and foremost. He has a deep concern with the children and wants nutritional awareness to be promoted much more seriously. Truthfully, Thomas’s biography could never be told or quite possibly measured. The frail little boy became the roaring tiger. Thomas’s monumental spirit of life is an inspiration for all of us. His career should be required reading for classroom students everywhere. At this point, we at Remington Registry proudly award and honor Mr. Cunningham with our Highest Recognition, our Lifetime Achievement Award. It’s important to know that this award is only given to a select few out of thousands. Mr. Cunningham has earned this award with great ease. He has demonstrated repeatedly, over a span of 60 years, an uncommon tenacity and a passion for life which truthfully, is incomparable. Even today Thomas is a man who breaks open everyday with a noble purpose and a sense of adventure. We realize that filling his shoes is a wonderful attempt but could never be accomplished. Here at Remington it’s professionals like Mr. Cunningham that encourage us to pursue our dreams no matter what the odds and we are honored to welcome his inclusion.

Bio: Here at Remington as Americans every breath we take is built on our beliefs and constitutional rights as citizens. We are all children of democracy, and as we pursue our dreams, enjoy our liberties, we become naturally defensive when we feel our freedoms are being compromised. Here at Remington we have learned that many Americans never take their freedom for granted. We have learned that true success is not about wealth, but about integrity and fighting for what you believe in. We also feel that true democracy is based on transparent government and undoubtedly without the vigilant effort of certain professionals that transparency can be easily exploited. Today, we stand strong against the wind and not unlike the American Eagle we hope to recognize a professional who stands on a mountain top and watches over what our forefather died to give us. In every way and without hesitation we recognize Christopher Michael Vichiola as that eagle that soars fearlessly through the sky and with relentless tenacity spearheads any threat to our way of life. Chris gives new meaning to the word, proactive. Being passive is simply not part of his nature. Chris is not a revolutionary; he is a loyal and patriotic individual that despises political hypocrisy. His focus starts with children and people with mental health issues. Chris is an expert on Constitutional Law. He is an advisor to Barack Obama on a host of issues, a list far too long to record, but we will certainly make an attempt. Chris is a spiritual man with a soft side for human rights. He speaks out for the oppressed and is an advocate for anyone with just because that feels exploited or neglected. Today, Mr. Vichiola is much like a walking encyclopedia, he can turn back the pages 50 to 100 years ago and give exact details about a moment in history where a crime was committed or a scandal. From environmental issues, to bureaucracy, to international affairs, Chris is not one to quickly run to a history book. He prides himself in having facts and dates memorized. From Watergate, to BP oil spills, to Iran Contra, Exxon Valdez, to unjustified presidential pardons; Chris can quote verses and specifics. Mr. Vichiola is also an expert in Finance and Financial Safety and fraud. He spends an incredible amount to time looking at all the possibilities of national healthcare. Chris is also best known to give exact financial and census facts no matter how ugly the number may be. He is a regular on the steps of Congress and Marches for causes nationwide. But nothing infuriates Mr. Vichiola more than a large Corporate Conglomerate that abuses their employees, citizens or not. Chris is a one-man union representative with powerful connections and deep consciousness to not let things slide by. As a martial arts expert, educator, and Psychological Counselor, Chris lives by a certain truth not only to others but to himself. He encourages every American to live by the same standard. Chris most of all expects a certain level of ethics, from Government Officials. He is a member of dozens of watch dog affiliations such as the Whistle Blowers of America. No, Mr. Vichiola does not wear a cape, but he rightfully should. Here at Remington, Mr. Vichiola certainly raised the bar when it comes to outstanding professionals. In all truthfulness, perhaps a bar higher than anyone can reach. But, maybe in the end that’s what all of us as Americans really need, a jolt in our complacency. Chris lives by the motto Ask Not and we admire his tenacity. We here at Remington would like to mention this one biography used much of our time and resources as a company, but in many ways, it was certainly our privileged and our obligation. We come to realize that Mr. Vichiola is a man of fierce conviction. Perhaps, someone like his comes around once in every thousand years or so, and we are very happy his is with us in the here and now as we welcome his inclusion.

    Bio:

Here at Remington it is every parent’s dream to have their child feel happy and wanted in the occupation they choose in life. It is every parent’s dream to see their child flourish with a creative spirit and feeling of accomplishment. Here at Remington it is every staff members dream to publish this book with a sense of parenthood as a motive and an objective. Well with all that said, as writers and publishers we are partial to our own occupation. We believe that a career as a creative writer is a wonderful and honorable way to make a living. We believe that literature is a gateway of self expression that releases perhaps an exploration of the soul and new ideas. We also believe that few biographies can act as a testimonial for creative writing. We believe that the potential for life contribution is difficult to sum up without the right mentorship to describe the endless boundaries of literature and creative writing. Well fortunate enough, today at Remington we absolutely ring the bell of mentorship in every way. Today we are simply astonished by a professional who wrote the encyclopedia of accomplishment in the world of creative writing. Today we proudly recognize columnist, Jordan Braverman. Breathe deep and exhale slowly. Jordan has stood on all eight corners, all seven seas, all subjects and all cultures. Jordan, awarded in every facet of literation spent over 50 years traveling the world. Publishing perhaps an unknown amount of literature on everything from Healthcare, finance, TV appearances, insurance plans, humor economy issues, history, poetry, science. This list is endless and exhausting. How did he do all this! But there it is in black and white. A pure mentor of literature and a stunning biography that captivates all of us. What’s also fascinating is Jordan contribution to the laws regarding pharmaceutical generic drugs. It seems that Jordan’s publications made their way to congress and as a result generic drugs have become available without consent before-hand, giving access to inexpensive drugs has revolutionized the pharmaceutical industry. His book Nursing Home Standards: A Tragic Dilemma in American Health exposed the deficiencies of nursing home licensure standards throughtout the United States and changed and improved those laws in our 50 states. As well as spoken of and quoted on the Floor of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Congress. Jordan Braverman’s life is a reflection of American history from initial colonies of the British Empire until today. He is the son of two Russian immigrants (Morris and Molly Braverman, their names having been anglicized at Ellis Island, New York upon their entry to the United States). He was raised in Boston, Massachusetts, one of the colonial centers that ignited and gave rise to the American Revolution. According to George M. Cohan, songwriter of Yankee Doodle Dandy, a real-life nephew of his Uncle Sam, he was born on July 4, 1936, exactly 160 years to the day America’s Declaration of Independence was signed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Jordan Braverman graduated from the oldest public school in America, the famed Boston Latin School (founded in 1635)-the same public school that Benjamin Franklin attended before Franklin moved to Philadelphia and eventually became one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Braverman’s birthday, July 4th, is the same day President Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died within hours of each other in the 1820s and the day President Calvin Coolidge was born, eventually serving Governor of Massachusetts and Vice President of the United States under President Harding. In the end, we at Remington always favor a writer as a colleague and a parent. Today we recognize the Benjamin Franklin of the written word in one amazing life. We offer Jordan Braverman our highest honor and we welcome his inclusion.
