    Foreword

As others were—I have not seen

    Edgar Allen Poe, Alone

    Yep,

    that about describes it.

    Welcome to

    Scattered Thoughts

    Volume Two

    DM

    Machination Manor

    Fouled of pride and patriots,

    The union fails by reason,

    Results are ever common,

    Tumbleweed and treason.

    When captains scuttle ships,

    They channel Blackbeard ghosts,

    True post-traumatic pirates,

    Rests with those who care.

    Ambient inflection,

    Soothes the weary eye,

    When only silence answers,

    I wait for your reply.

    Whitney

    Another talent laid to rest,

Who tried, but failed the test.

May God now show his love,

    As He welcomes her above,

Our Whitney lives on stage of grace,

Redeemed of fall, no safer place.

    A Taste of Distant Past

    I dreamed again of surfing,

    A favorite of mine,

    A much
