    Acknowledgments

I acknowledge Jesus Christ my Lord and friend: You have become everything to me, and I am thankful for that. I love our relationship and thank you for the work you have done in my life; be glorified. All of my gifts and revelation have come from you. You are the very source of knowledge and every good and perfect gift. You enabled me to write this book of poetry and I give you the glory. I gladly give the gifts you placed in me back to you. I am committed with my life to lead people to you, even as I vowed to you.

I acknowledge my mom and dad. Thelma L. Burleson and the late Pastor Nathaniel T. Burleson.

My kingdom mom and friend: Roselee Fruin & Mr. Dennis Fruin.

My life totally changed when I met you as a complete stranger on the urban streets of New York with my children in 2005.

You prayed for me daily and have loved me and my kids in a very supernaturally favorable way. I referred to you as my kingdom mom because I thought I had no family in New York and knew no one. I was running from problems and just wanted to start over. It made no sense to leave all of my earthly possessions and move to New York with nothing, nobody and no concrete plan, just a hope and a dream, favor and the love of God; and tons of problems back home in Houston.

However, from the moment I met you and you grabbed my hand in that fast food restaurant and began to pray in the Spirit, you accepted me as your daughter and began to allow the Lord to use you to lead me back to the right path He had preordained for my life.

The Lord showed me that my family is not limited to my natural relatives, but I have a spiritual family through Him. And in that family, you have been a mother and a faithful intercessor. I am overjoyed to acknowledge you for your spiritual contribution in my life from my most difficult times to now. Thank God for you.

    Miracle

    How hard to believe

    How late to conceive

How real to receive the supernatural

    How evident its plot

    How honorable the call

For, through me, his glory others will someday recall

    How beautiful his design

To use such foolishness; the wise to confine

So happy to be his instrument

    For his divine miraculous fulfillment

    Different, yes I am

I’ve died like that sacrificial lamb

Now this life is not mine

    Yet surrendered to supernatural

    Glory—divine!

    The Process of My Birthing

    Chronicles of a Crucified Life:

    The Process of My Birthing

Well, this chapter actually began as a poem. I desired to write one poem to answer the wonderful question I hear so often, Why did your parents name you Miracle? Well, the answer remained a poem but evolved into over nine pages. Actually, I’ve decided to tell my entire life’s story in a poem. Be on the lookout for Priceless Poetic Reflections, Volume II. Enjoy my story and understand that God is sovereign and no matter how great your obstacles, he has a purpose for your life.

    Abortion on Assignment

    Glory to God

At four months pregnant, the doctors ordered for an abortion

In distress, believing the medical reports, my parents agreed

The doctors used many facts to convince Mom and Dad and the abortion idea made sense to them it seemed

This abortion was best for everyone involved,

Said the Doctors as they debated the facts . . .

"Mrs. Burleson is too weak to birth yet another seed

Having already mothered thirteen, why even the need?

And having birthed fourteen, with one born dead

This pregnancy is not worth risking the life of this mother instead

Aren’t there already enough children in this family?

How could it be that you would even consider risking it all for this unnecessary birth?

This baby doesn’t even have a chance at life

Because of the high risk involved . . .

If born alive, it will be a menace to our society

This baby will surely bring disgrace to all and never experience any success or notoriety

The doctors guaranteed that (if allowed), this birth would produce at best a mentally retarded child

Mrs. Burleson is forty-five, and for getting pregnant again under these circumstances, she’s unrepentant

In addition, tumors on the stomach, which seem to have become malignant

A body weak from giving birth after birth

Let’s abort this pregnancy, for this baby surely has insignificant worth.

At first, my mom and dad said yes to the abortion

As it seemed the only sensible option or notion

Therefore, the appointment was made and the doctors had the abortion table laid

    p.jpg

The doctors were prepared as they awaited my parents’ arrival

Mom leaves home after caring for her other children

Dad hurries to this appointment for death’s ministers to prevent his unborn child’s birth

So there they were, at the site

Doctors and parents both convinced that this is right

    The implementation of death

The canceling of an unborn human life

The necessary task of justified murder

This abortion will surely prevent death by natural causes in some form we’re sure If death is what is being prevented, why impose
