Though my feet often stray, my heart remains faithful to the Light. I give all honor to the I AM. The God in whom I live and move and have my being.

Dedication

To my heart, my beautiful unborn child, I dedicate this book to you. As I write to you this message, I sense this very tangible surge of love coursing through my entire being for you. I haven’t seen you yet. I haven’t touched you yet. I haven’t heard the sound of your laughter. I am not familiar with your smile, nor the way your beautiful soul will try to hide behind your eyes, and yet, I know you will reveal the wellspring of my virgin love.

When your mom told me that I was going to be a father, I was both afraid and excited. I knew you would be the greatest part of me to date, but I wasn’t quite sure how to process that. The days are passing now, and with them, the fear has found a place in the wind of love that has swept me over. All that remains now is the excitement of holding you, of kissing you. All that remains now is this divine sentiment of love, and indescribable imaginations of me sweeping you off the ground as you run to me.

It is Thanksgiving Day today. It will be some time before you fully understand what this day truly means, but suffice it to say, it is a day that people allow awareness to fill their hearts as they think about those things that matter most to them. Well, today, you matter most to me. Your mom and I have so much to be thankful for, because you are nine weeks old, and growing so bravely inside her love.

I want you to know that, daily, I pray for you. I often place my hand over your mom’s belly, and I pray for you. I ask God to immerse you in the purest love. I ask God for the strength, the courage, the love, the patience, and the wisdom to help me guide you into your light; into your purpose, into the greatest version of yourself.

I vow, as long as air is passing through these lungs, to be here for you. To love you. To guide you. To protect you. To support you. To wipe your tears when they leave your weakened eyes, and speak words to help the healing of your breaking heart. Already, in you, I have found my guiding light, the personification of my love, and my purpose.

Your mom and I are anxiously waiting to physically welcome you into our world. Until then, I pray divine peace over you as you undergo this first of many amazing journeys to come. You are already a winner, my winner. I love you so much. See you at the finish line,
