Stress is a part of our everyday life. It is a very cheap commodity that is easily bought by both the rich and the poor. Today it is a problem of the chief executives and the poor market woman.
To our early men it was all about the fear of harmful wild animals in the forest; but as civilization increases there is also increase in life demands and issues that could cause stress, hence the need to be equip with the tools to cope with it.
The need for the knowledge on stress management can never be over emphasized if we realize that stress could go a long way to adversely affect our individual productivity vis--vis our National productivity and development.

The author of this book Dr. Sunday Aidenogie Agunede; a medical practitioner, born into the family of late Mr. Lawrence Abhulumen Agunede, in Emuhi village, in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria; is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He has worked in several hospitals like the general hospital Benin City, general hospital Damaturu, international hospital Kano and Silgrey Royal Hospital Awka to mention a few. Apart from his medical practice in the hospital he has also carried out several health promotion programs in his community and attended several medical trainings, workshops and conferences in Nigeria and beyond. Currently he is the acting director of health services at the Federal University Lafia, Nasarawa State Nigeria, where he has been involved in programs aimed at promoting and protecting the health and wellbeing of members of this university community. Having acquired huge experience in the healthcare industry and having known the health issues that pose serious challenges to a large proportion of the population, he has been motivated to write this book on Stress Management and Wellness.
