Hazel V. Jay (La’ D Jay) a mother of four children, is a public speaker, educator, and poet. She delivers messages that inspire and empower people to rise above their fears, anxieties, judgments, and limitations. These are the messages she had to constantly share with herself as she fought to overcome a learning disability, homelessness, abuse and victimization. She has dedicated her life to helping “marginalized” populations at-risk re-discover, re-store, and cultivate their purpose- driven life. As a proud member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, she completed her MA in Urban Leadership Education and earned an MBA with a focus on Consulting and Entrepreneurship. La’ D Jay is a Certified Empowerment Life Coach and Founder of iGLOW Consulting, a personal development, self- empowerment and entrepreneurship program for mothers who are either incarcerated, on parole or probation, or in a recovery program or transitional placement.
