I get a lot of my ideas from watching cartoons. Having a hard time sleeping at night and thats when I get some wild ideas about experimenting with different items. I do keep a tablet and pen at the side of my bed so I can write down the items that is needed for the experiment. I get a lot of my supplies from: The Dollar Tree Store, 99 Cent Store, and Wal-Mart after the holidays, are the best time to get a lot of the supplies for these activities. Everything is on sale and that when you can save money on these activities.

Baking Soda with Sugar Free Hawaiian Punch Lemon Berry Squeeze with Water
Materials
1 Cup Baking Soda Spoon fork/ Fork
Wax Paper/Clear Plastic[¹] Scissors
Tray/ Paper Plate Bowls (2)
Salt Shakers (optional) Water
1 Sugar Free Hawaiian Punch Lemon Berry Squeeze Single to go Tea
Directions
1) Pour 1 cup of baking soda in a bowl.
2) Cut open 1 lemon berry squeeze single to go pack into the baking soda.
3) Mix until the entire lemon berry squeeze is well blended in.
4) You can put it in salt shakers for arts and crafts.
5) You will be surprise about the color.

6) MIX AS ABOVE AND ADD WATER TO THE MIX AND LISTEN TO IT TO SEE IF YOU COULD HEAR A SOUND.
7) It will also make a good sensory table activity.

Color Puzzles
Materials
Names of Colors Different Colors Cut Outs
Pen/Felt Tip Card Stock
Construction Paper Scissors
Stick Glue (optional) Glue
Directions
1. Write down the names (words) to the colors on each end (top of card) card stock/construction paper with a pen/felt tip marker.
2. Now cut out different colors from construction paper or use scraps from previous colors from activities.
3. Glue the colors with the words on the cardstock on the opposite end.
4. Now cut the cardstock in half and mixed up the pieces on the table or on the floor (group (children) gathering at circle time).
5. Each child will get a turn picking ½ the cardstock pieces.
6. The child picked ½ of the puzzle will hang on to it until the next child pick a card to see if it matches the other card.
7. If the card matches the other card the 2 children can put their pieces together.
8. If they don’t match keep going until the child pulls out the other half of the card.
OR
1. Hide half of the cards somewhere in the classroom (anywhere in the house) for the child and parent can match it with the other piece.
2. Put half the cards in the middle of the table so the child and parent will pick only 1 half of the card and match it with the other half somewhere in the classroom (or in the house, where someone will hide the cards).
3. After you (the child) find all the pieces, ask your child to name the colors and maybe spell out the color
