About this ebook

My book on Holiday Activities is about art and crafts for thechildren tomake during the holidays while the adults are busy with cooking, cleaning the house and etc.The children can make games to give to their friends or keep for themselves. I did each one of these activities my self to make sure I wrote down each step so it would be easy for anyone to do them, even grand parents can do these activities. The ages are 4 and up with some guidance from the adult(s). These activities are fun and also have some science in them to help the children to build their language skills along with communication skills with others children.

Orangey was a special cat, because he went out and brought home 3 baby kittens, 4 stray adult cats, and a large black rabbit that were hurt or homeless. Orangey has always been there when I was sick and I was there when he got sick. He tells me when it is time to get off the computer and go to bed, tell me if I got a phone call or someone came to the door. I am having a hard time without him and I still brake down into tears and that is why I’m doing Book 3 and 4 in the memory of Orangey to help me to move on without him.

Orangey passed away on August 15, 2011 at 5:30 PM and he was only 2 years old (14 years in cat years).

    Thank You,

    Valerie Bradford

    MATERIALS

1 Bag of We Materials Fast Set Lite 90 Setting Type Compound

    Container with Lid                                                                      Water

    Small Paint Brushes                                                                    Spoon

    Toothpicks                                                                                 Bowl

Clear Plastic 3D Molds (Holidays or Any Kind)                             Scissors

Felt Tip Markers                                                                         Clear Gloss Varathane

    Paint (Any Kind)                                                                         Water Colors

Powered Paint (about ¼ teaspoon depending on the color you want) OPTIONAL

    NOTE:

You can buy the Fast Set 90 in the DRYWALL section in 18 pounds bag.

    IMPORTANT NOTE:

MAKE SURE YOU USE A BOWL THAT YOU ARE NOT GOING TO USE FOR NOTHING ELSE BUT FOR THE FAST SET LITE ONLY. MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT WASH OUT THE BOWL IN THE SINK; TAKE IT OUTSIDE TO BE WASHED OUT RIGHT AWAY AFTER YOU ARE DONE USING IT, DON’T LET IT DRY IN THE BOWL BECAUSE, YOU WILL NOT GET IT OUT AND YOU WILL HAVE TO THROW IT AWAY. BECAUSE IT CAN PLUG UP YOUR DRAINS AND IT WILL NOT HURT THE GRASS OR THE DIRT. IF YOU DON’T HAVE A PLACE OUTSIDE USE PAPER TOWELS TO CLEAN OUT THE BOWL.

    Directions

    1. DO NOT LET CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 10 TO MIX THE FAST SET LITE BECAUSE, OF THE POWERED MIGHT GET IN THEIR EYES, MOUTH AND NOSE.

    2. If you never used FAST SET LITE before, I would recommend 90 Minutes, because it will give you 90 minutes before it will set up, BUT NOT COMPLETELTLY DRIED (DRYING WILL NEED EXTRA TIME AFTER YOU ARE DONE WITH YOUR FIRST STAGE).

    3. Mix the Fast Set Lite with water enough where the children can spoon the mixture into the molds. (Mix Fast Set Lite with water until it looks like pancake mix (medium thick).

    4. I would start making these decorations about 2 weeks before the holiday to give them time to completely dry before painting them.

    5. Mix the Fast Set Lite with water enough that (it look like pancake batter that is medium thick) where children can spoon it out of the bowl to fill the candy molds.

    6. You can add very little paint, food coloring, and or Wilton Cake Icing Color (To use Wilton Cake Icing Color you will need a toothpick to dip into the small bottle to get the color paste like out.

    7. After the candy molds are filled up, you are going to lightly tap the molds on the table to remove any air bubbles.

    8. After you are done tapping out the air bubbles you can add ribbon at the top of the molds for hanging and make sure the ribbon or whatever you use for hanging that it is covered with the Fast Set Lite really good.

    9. When the Fast Set Lite starts to feel firm usually about 2
