Foreword

Urban Verses represents a snapshot of spiritually based experiences and thoughts that lead to many forms of learning over the years. The title, Urban, is used to represent where the author grew up in Toronto, (Canada’s largest and most populous urban city). This type of environment set the stage for one of his many inspirational playgrounds. Michael Joseph has also spent a lot of time in New York City, which allowed him to experience a much larger and more diverse urban playground. The poetry in this book provides insight into contemporary topics that can be related to by many.
