The town was small and the people friendly and the time was back when front doors need not be locked. It was then, the author of this book would begin to realize his ability to write poetry. Yet, not until years later would he realize its purpose, until he found himself being led through the wilderness of life. It was during this time that his dependency upon himself would decrease, as his need for his Savior would increase. It would open his eyes to lifes greater purpose and show the means of which to live it. Today, Richard P Montez enjoys the simple things in life. He resides in the desert city of La Quinta, California with his wife and family. He looks to each new day to see what opportunities the Lord will be placing before him.

I sit here with the paper before me and pen in hand, words flash through my mind to quickly to understand. Filled with emotions ever changing unable to comprehend, I sit here quietly until it comes to an end. Then I hear the music and once more I can begin, so with my mind now focused I touch paper with pen. I combine words, so that together they end in rhyme, continually writing line after line. A writer of words is what I am, writing of a love that will never end . . . Come read and be introduced to a wonderful friend.

A Message From God

One day the Lord called upon me That his will would be done,

He said, this day I have a message for you to tell everyone. Tell them the Lord has been watching And waiting patiently, But now the time has come for my children to come back to me. For I have endured their stumbling and the wicked things that they do, but now it is high time for repentance For soon I will make all things new. Tell them to keep their lamp trimmed for they do not know at what hour it will be, but soon very soon I will return and all eyes shall see. Then I shall gather them and bring Them unto
