From Cocoon To Butterfly: Reflections
By Barbara Epps

About this ebook
From Cocoon to Butterfly. Through the writings and Scriptures in this book come a story of a young woman who, in her life, overcame many trials and tests. From these experiences came this book. Just as a caterpillar resides in a cocoon and emerges into a beautiful butterfly, so also does our life develop into the image that God has created us to be. As we mature into adulthood, we begin to search and wonder where we belong in this world and what are we to do or become. We are unaware at that time that our path has already been established by the Creator of all things""God. Some of us follow Him early in life and some of us later, but one thing is certain; God never takes His eyes off of His children. Jeremiah 29:11 and Joshua 1:9 declared His promises. So the beginning of the process from cocoon to butterfly.

ENDORSEMENTS
Inspiration, love and wisdom. These are the words that often describe the message of Our Lord and Savior. A must read for every woman facing life’s challenges and need to be reminded of the love of Jesus Christ.
Thank you Momma B for always being an encouragement to all of us women.

It has been a blessing and an honor to be a small part of Barbara’s book project. As I’ve read through her poetry and prayers I have learned things about this precious woman that have sometimes made me weep, other times made me laugh, and all the time made me contemplate the goodness of our God. I have been encouraged and challenged by her writings to press in more closely to our Father and to spend time listening for His instruction. He is an amazing God! And, as you read the words of Barbara’s book, I believe you will learn more about the love of our God and how He loves to spend time with His children.

It takes courage and humility to write a beautiful poetry reflecting the work of God in our life. This book speaks of a loving, powerful and all knowing Father God. I am blessed to be a part of this book and to be a part of Barbara’s journey of faith.

Foreword
It is a delight and honor to introduce you to Ms. Barbara Epps and her book of amazing collection of divinely inspired Prayers & Poems. We were first made aware of Ms. Barbara’s gift when she was inspired to write a poem titled The Little White Church
dated April 21st, 2017. This poem was written for Living Way, Bellflower Foursquare Church, the place that the Lord had led Ms. Barbara to join as her new church family. It was then that we learned that she had a collection of Prayers and Poems that she had written over the years, which she shared with us. It was a Sunday when Pastor Conrad just turned to Ms. Barbara and told her that she needed to put all her Prayers & Poems in a book. He just sensed that it would be inspiring to many others and needed to be shared.
We pray blessings on Ms. Barbara and this exciting venture of her first book on Prayers & Poems. We look forward to seeing what the Lord has for her next in this new season. Much love & blessings!
~Pastors Conrad & Cheryl Francis,
Senior Pastors of Living Way,
Bellflower Foursquare Church
Preface
The words written in this book—poems, writings, and prayers—were given to me through the instruction of the Holy Spirit. I am but a vessel that the Holy Spirit, through Father, chose to use, and I am honored.
Through poetry, prayers, and writings, this is the journey of a Christian woman’s life. How she knew Christ from early childhood, but through many trials and tests in her life, she stepped away from the presence of the Jesus she knew as a child. Later, she returned
