WHAT IS: ‘THE FATHER’S HEART’?"

(See Luke 15)

We know about the ‘Prodigal’ son

but what was ‘the father’s heart’?

Did he not ‘wait’ for him

& when he came ~ didn’t say: ‘Depart!’?

Full of ‘Love & Compassion’

yet he didn’t chase him down,

The father just stood looking

waiting for the son to be ‘found’.

Yes, he ‘found’ himself in a pig pen

‘repented’ & came home,

‘United’ with his father

never-more to roam!

The father had an ‘older’ son

whose heart was callous & cold,

And the father warned him

of his ‘jealousy’ so bold.

And so it is with us

God warns ‘us’ to repent:

"Do not be ‘jealous’ of your brothers

but REJOICE & let your Life be spent.

Be spent on doing ‘good’ to others

for all I have is yours,

Walk ever close beside Me

& be about your chores.

Take care of ‘every-day’ business

& in your heart ~ be content,

Never turn your back on Me

& ‘around the World’ ~ you’ll be sent."

Oh, it may not be us who goes

all around the World to tell,

But, perhaps our Children’s Children

will warn others about ~ ‘hell’!

For God wants NO-ONE to perish *

& welcomed ‘sinners’ all around,

Yes, The Father’s Heart is ‘Love Eternal’

& wants ALL ~ to be ‘found’!

Oh please, don’t share the ‘attitude’

of the Scribes & Pharisees,

Who were full of ‘pride & arrogance’

at Jesus’ ~ ‘company’!

For Jesus ‘ate’ with tax collectors *

& ‘sinners’ in each town, *

Enjoying being around them

NOT wanting them to drown!

Drown in ‘religiosity’

like the ‘teachers of the Law’,

For, sad to say, they didn’t know God

no, they knew Him ~ not at all!

They didn’t know how much He hurt *

for those ‘lost & dying’ Souls,

Nor what Joy was His to share

when they found ‘Life’ in Jesus’ Control.

Yes, The Father is a ‘seeking’ Shepherd *

looking for ‘lost’ sheep,

And is searching because He LOVES us *

& over us ~ He doth weep!

Do we weep over our Children

as we see them ‘wasting’ their lives?

Praying they’ll come to JESUS

& become ~ ‘spiritually’ wise?

Well, The Father feels this pain

over the Whole World, don’t you see,

And His Greatest JOY is finding

~ONE LOST SOUL~ yes, you & me! *

Oh, don’t wish your (earthly) father dead

so you can be ‘rich’,

For you, like the Prodigal

may land down in a ditch.

His father had to ‘let him go’

& so does God, you see,

And He simply WAITS for our return

when we repent on bended knee.

God is never happy *

to ‘leave us’ in our circumstances,

Even though we ‘deserve’

all our ‘consequences’!

God waits for us to ‘see ourselves’

as we ‘really’ are ~

Then receives us ~ with ‘open Arms’

when we ‘come back’ ~ from afar!

The ‘Truth’ had set him free *

& his ‘choice’ then set him right,

But, still he didn’t know his father

& the ‘grace’ which won the fight.

For he ‘clothed’ his son with honor

with a ‘robe’, a ‘ring’ & ‘shoes’,

As this would stop ‘judgmental’ folks

from hollering out their ‘boo’s’!

You see, ‘acceptance’ from the father

will cover many sins ~

Like THE BLOOD of JESUS

thus we become ‘alive’ again!

Oh, don’t wait to ‘achieve’ worthiness

before you come home at last,

Let GOD ‘honor’ you &

Forgive ALL your ‘past’! *

Then, if you’re the 1st son

viewing your ‘brothers’ return,

Don’t be ‘jealous’ or ‘bitter’

or your brother ‘spurn’!

As God gave His ONLY Son *

so He could Rejoice & Welcome All Home!

Regardless whether we’re ‘good’ or ‘bad’ ~

do we want to Fellowship with God alone?

Like the ‘Pharisees’ of old

who would not Fellowship with JESUS ~

Simply because He ‘ate with sinners’

which, to them, was very grievous!

Thus ‘showing’ All around

they knew not The Father’s Heart,

And Who Loved them as well

so they, too, would not depart.

Yet, their hearts were ‘bitter’

& ‘attitudes’ remained unchanged,

Just like the 1st son

whose heart ‘remained’ estranged. 2

Yet, the father is persistent

in his pleas to this (#1) son,

For he loves him, too, you see

& ~to PERISH? ~ NO, NOT ONE!

Which of these sons does this describe

of YOU or even me?

For BOTH are REBELS in one house

& face ~LOSTNESS~ can’t you see?

One strayed away ~ & then ‘repented’

& one stayed home ~ yet lost,

For he knew NOT his ‘father’

but only knew him as a ‘Boss’!

Not feeling like a ‘son’

but a ‘servant’ to his father ~

Made the older son ‘full of contempt’

for his younger brother.

Yet, this story doesn’t end

& we’re never told ~

If the older brother ‘repented’

or let ‘his’ heart remain cold.

So ~TODAY~ the Door’s still open

& we CAN enter in ~

Do we ‘ache’ with God for the LOST

& ‘REJOICE’ when ‘sinners’ win? ~

~If we do, then we are learning ~ ‘The Father’s Heart’! Amen!~

2 Lk.15:28 says that the ‘older’ brother refused to go in to the Party

his Father had for his 2nd son. You see, as long as he held ‘jealousy & bitterness’ inside his heart (unforgiveness), he would not ACCEPT what was ‘rightfully’ his & ‘go in’.

THINK ABOUT IT!

See Prov.30:6 ~ Add not to His Words, lest He reprove you, & you be found a liar. Also see Rev.22:18-19 ~ Don’t add to or take away from this Book, else we’ll reap the consequences.

Dear Lord Jesus ~ I Pray that, as I write these THOUGHTS & POEMS, I will not ‘add to’ or ‘subtract from’ Your Word so that it becomes a LIE to either deceive or mislead others! I only seek to help others find their way to the foot of The Cross & Your Throne! Lead me, Holy Spirit, as I read & write what You give me to write! AMEN! Patricia 6/4/2003

Some Parables ‘hide the Truth’ from folks, yet others

reveal The Truth about ourselves & God!

Oh, Precious Lord Jesus ~ teach me a new Truth from these ‘familiar’ verses I’ve read so many times before! Open up my heart & mind to receive what You want me to know ~ about ‘myself’ & ‘You’! As seeing only

myself ~for who I really am~ tends to bring devastation to my spirit. But, knowing You are there to help Guide me through & be my ‘Over-comer’ in this life, plus ~ covering my failures with Your Blood~ will help me realize Who You really are & how much You Love, even me! Pat     7/20/2004

LITTLE’ LOVE?"

Oh, take that ‘little’ Love for God

& TELL Him that you care,

Then, surprisingly it will GROW

as more & more ~Love~ you share!

Come into His Presence

with ‘Thanksgiving’ on your lips,

Then ‘ENJOY’ His company

as ~from your shoulder~ fall those ‘chips’!

‘Delight’ to be with Him

regardless of your circumstances,

Then ‘bitterness’ won’t set in

& you’ll ‘obey’ His Commandments.

Loving ‘Him’ with ALL your heart

instead of just a piece of it,

Then loving ‘others’ as He commands *

helping them come out of the pit.

Are all things working for your good *

& ‘His Purposes’ are you fulfilling?

Then just come & ‘appreciate’ His Presence

not even ‘wanting’ any-thing!

Does your ‘spouse’ love you

like you love God?

Think about THAT

as ~when Praying~ your head you nod!

do you ‘love’ to DO His bidding? *

Then you’ll be loved by The Father

& ~Jesus Christ~ you’ll be manifesting!

Have you told God: ‘Daddy’, I love you truly!

wanting NOTHING in return?

Except the Joy of His Embrace

& ‘with ZEAL’ your heart doth burn!

Oh, my friend, KEEP on growing

in your Love for God & man,

Then perhaps one day your Blessing

will be Saved Souls ~ as the sand!

You ‘Lead’ me, Lord, & I will ‘follow’ wherever You want me to go! If You want me to ‘disciple’ another, then You open that door to the person or people & help me to be willing to go through that door with You beside me ~ for I won’t go without You! I know I failed my Children ~as the devil keeps reminding me~ but that is under the Blood & in God’s Precious Hands to ‘remind’ them ~through The Holy Spirit~ & bring them back to Himself. Thank You!  ‘SON’-DAY! (Names Of God-Jehovah)

The 1st Day of the week

we call it Sunday,

It is when our Lord ‘Arose’

So I’d like to call it ~ ‘SON’-DAY!

Yes, God’s Precious Son

the ONLY ONE He had,

Gave His Life for ‘All’

so Rejoice, my friend ~ be GLAD!

He’s ALIVE & Interceding

just for you & me,

This should bring you ‘Joy’

as you shout the victory!

Victory ‘over’ sin & death

The Only One Who could,

Because He was ‘obedient’

doing what He should.

‘Leaning’ on The (His) Father

Who could help Him ‘overcome’,

Even in the desert

against ‘temptations’ gun!

There was ‘no sin’ in being tempted

but ‘giving in’ brings shame,

Instead, we need to call on Jesus

to ‘help us’ ~ in His Name!

For He is Jehovah ~ ‘Jirah’

Who ‘Provides’ for us a way ~

To ‘escape’ temptations snare

leading us ‘away’!

‘Away’ from it we need to run

as fast as we can go,

Into The Arms of Jesus

our ‘victory’ don’t you know?

Yes, Jehovah ~ ‘Nisi’

is another of His Precious Names,

And when we ‘proclaim’ them

it tells Satan ~ we aren’t ‘playing games’!

‘Shalom’ ~ my friend,

Yes, even His ‘Righteousness’

which is called ‘Tsidkneu’!

Our ‘Shepherd’ will lead your way

if a ‘sheep’ you will become,

Call out for Jehovah ~ ‘Raah’

& surely He will come.

He’ll ‘anoint’ your wounds & ‘heal’ you

for He’s The ‘healer’ of mankind,

Jehovah ~ ‘Rapha’ desires to heal

when you are ‘spiritually’ blind.

are there just for the ‘calling’,

Learn to know them like The SON did

& just don’t stand there ‘bawling’.

I did for so long

until I learned The Truth,

That He was not like the father

I had had from my youth.

Jesus even ‘healed’ those wounds

that separated me from both of them,

Restored me to my ‘earthly’ father

‘forgiveness’ flowing like a gem!

The ‘Treasure’ of my life

became JESUS CHRIST ~ The ‘King’,

So now I can Rejoice & Praise

& ~in the Valley~ Sing!

Jehovah—JIRAH ~ PROVIDER ~ providing Peace, Security & Safety in all this turmoil.

Jehovah—RAAH ~ SHEPHERD ~ Leading us into (by) the ‘still’ waters, that we might quench our ‘thirst’ for God!

Jehovah—SHALOM ~ PEACE ~ You have set before us Peace ‘in the midst’ of these terrible storms going on in our lives. All we have to do is enter.

Jehovah—RAPHA ~ HEALER ~ Oh how many NEED healing of their SOUL, MIND & SPIRIT, as well as their BODIES! As we seek You 1st, healing will come to these areas of our lives & if You heal our body, an added Blessing that will be!

Jehovah—NISI ~ BANNER/VICTORY ~ Banner of LOVE & Victory over SIN! Amen!

The hardest thing to do is Stand & Trust God! But, waiting on Him helps us to think better & not just ‘re-act’ to our situation. Believe God will command His Angels to guard Him & His Land He gave them. [Ps. 91:11-12]. The Bible says: "Because He Loves Me, I will RESCUE him" [Ps. 91:4], NOT because he is doing all these ‘things’ for Me! "I WILL ‘Protect’ him, for he acknowledges My Name." [Ps. 91:14]. 3/1/2003

We are ‘joint-heirs’ [See Romans 8:17]

We will ‘reign’ with Jesus [See Rev.5:10]

We will ‘judge’ the angels [See I Cor.6:1-3]

The Scriptures that say "Everyone who has left… for My sake will receive 100 times as much & inherit Eternal Life [see Mk.10:29-30]. Now does this mean if we give $10.00 we’ll get $100.00? What sort of GREED is this? Then WHY (what is your ‘motive’) are you giving? Just to ‘get’? Or ~ because you Love & want to help Jesus bring folks into The Kingdom with you! And, just because you are ‘rich’ in worldly goods & wealth, doesn’t mean you are a ‘winner’ ~ especially if you have not chosen CHRIST as your Savior! For all your riches won’t pay your way into Heaven! Only Christ’s BLOOD will do that! Have you let Jesus ‘cover your sins’ with His shed Blood from the Cross yet TODAY? I trust you HAVE!

We have to ‘lose all’ to gain THE Best ~ which is JESUS!

Oh, dear friends, don’t turn these Promises into ‘Commercials of greed’ & find yourself LAST instead of FIRST [see Mt.20:1-16 & Mk.10:31]. Nor be ‘envious’ & grumble at God when He WANTS to give others the same as you when they haven’t worked as long as you did! For our Precious Lord is always ‘testing’ the ATTITUDE of our hearts ~ BOTH towards Him & others!

You know, we may be working for an Employee, BUT—we are ALSO working for GOD! If we remember this ~ I think we will not become so HARD-HEARTED on our jobs toward those around us! After all, God DESIRES to supply their ‘needs’ as well as yours ~ even though they didn’t ‘deserve’ it (&, in reality, neither do we).

Oh, allow The Lord to be ‘generous’ as He Wills ~

1. Don’t become a ‘hireling’ for God ~working to get rewards~ as THAT is
