I am 72 years old. I have written verse since I was 12 years old.
Children, that makes me as old as dirt! I have 4 daughters, 11 grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren! A large family is a true blessing.
I was born close to the time the war ended. There was a “Depression” then. Jobs and food was scarce. My Father had no job. He cleaned out an old chicken coop on our home place for my first home.
He was born; (at home) in a box car. His Dad was working to build a railroad. Many workers lived in rail road boxcars; the others lived in tents.
