The Mirror of My Soul - Josciaa Maree
Introduction
Every situation in life has an unpredicted beginning with an outcome. You have to think back when it started. How you handled it, and the lesson you received. You must try not to repeat the lesson if it was negative.
Twenty-six years ago, I wrote a poem due to a bad encounter in life. I was simply channeling and expressing my thoughts on paper. I decided after that to continue writing, maintaining a small journal of poems. I started reluctantly sharing some of them with family and close friends. I never imagined the vision of a book. I just remember that is where it all began.
I came to the realization that there are three things a poet can never run out of: they are ink, words and daily experiences. These are major survival tools that will keep you writing until your passion dies. A poet’s creativity comes from his or her own experiences or they live through other people’s circumstances.
My life has taught me that all things happen for a reason and everything that happens is controlled by a much-higher being. I had a lifetime of events that I certainly didn’t see coming. Today I can sum it all up as joy.
Writing is a powerful passion for me and a God-given talent that helps me to release and find inner strength. The Mirror of My Soul reaches out to everyday people like you. This book grabs the attention of those whose spirits have been damaged by some event in life that they had no control over. I feel, I am safe to say it will give the world a new take on the statement, I thought I was the only one experiencing that.
Each poem is unique in its own little way because it has true meaning from the heart. The poetry expresses pieces of a puzzle that people are constantly trying to link together in search of the answer to a bigger picture.
The desire I have as you continue to read is that you will be able to relate, enjoy, and know that whatever it is you are experiencing
