About this ebook

Life is full of hills and valleys that we all experience in a lifetime. I have weathered the difficult terrain by expressing my feelings within my poems.

As you read through my collection you probably
will relate to some of the feelings as your own.

My life began in July 1942 in Brooklyn, NY. I got married at the age of 19 and with my husband raised two children, a son and a daughter. Watching them grow up made me realize how quickly life passes for all of us. They married wonderful spouses and blessed us with four grandchildren. My husband and I are retired with a beautiful family, evidenced in my writings “Sunshine on A Cloudy Day”. Experiencing highs and lows in my life I became self absorbed. At those times I was able to express myself in poetry. My poems come within my heart. My life is filled with the good, the bad and the ugly. Seven years ago I was stricken with a mini stroke, which took away some of my memory. One month after that I was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer, which required surgery and chemotherapy and fortunately I’ve survived. Last year during the winter of 2008 I was hospitalized with double pneumonia. This illness came close to causing my death several times, while being on a respirator and in a semi-coma for almost three months. While I was struggling for my life and trying desperately to regain my health, my husband, my family, my friends, and God, stood by me with strength, blessings and prayers. It took me another month to recover enough to be released from the last rehabilitation facility to go home. And now here I am, a new life with so much in it and so much taken away. “Life is Tough” but with strength, peace and love we can all be survivors.
