Dedication
I would like to dedicate this book to my son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. I wish to thank those individuals who have helped me through difficult times and have given me inspiration to help me write this book.
And, special thanks to Maria who had faith and helped motivate me to get this book to its publication.
A Child
A child who is patient,
A child who is kind.
A child who loves, love,
A child who is childishly refined.
A child who loves God,
And his/her parents as well.
Will prosper in life,
In a fruitful life, will dwell.

warm-leaves.jpgA%20child-43.jpgA Clean Slate
A dampened cloth, I take, To… .
Clean my slate, of things past…
That have lingered, on my plate.
Bites of things, that have… .
Captivated my life,
And have taken control… .
And made all things bitter-sweet.
So__, this dampened cloth, I take,
To whisk away, things of the past.
Whisk, whisk, My slate is now clean.
I can now begin to write… .
The things, that are captivating to my mind,
And bring spring flowers, into my soul.

warm-leaves.jpgA Friend
A friend is there
When others turn their back_
And still cares
Even, when you get off track,
Anytime of day or night
Your call will be heard,
To help, be there when_
Emotional disasters have been stirred,
This friend of mine_
I’ll always cherish,
Because without this friend,
My world could parish
Be it mother, father_
Husband or relation,
Our friendship will last and last,
Even thru outside menacing and tempting temptations.

warm-leaves.jpgA Happy Day
Make today a happy day,
Smile, laugh and grin,
Give it your all and very best,
From when the day begins.

warm-leaves.jpgA Hint Of Rain
The darkened clouds hang low in the sky,
A hint of rain, as thunder rubbles by.
A feel of humidity, that lingers near,
Bring the relief of rain that is welcomed here.

warm-leaves.jpgA Home Of Peace
A home, is only, a home,
Unless, it is blessed_
With friendship, kindness and love_
For all, that abides within.
Peace and tranquility flows,
From the entrance doors_
Through the rooms, and_
From the ceilings to the floors.
A place where peace exists,
And troubles halted, and made_
To exit, through every door,
And like, the daylight, fade.
And like the fountain, worry and distress cascades,
Tumbles, trickles and falls_
Away, forever more. And_
Into infinity, slip and fall. Home

warm-leaves.jpgA New Day
The weeping willow bows its head
In the morning dew;
While the early birds flap their wings,
While singing a morning tune.
The sun arises from its rest,
For a day of play and fun;
He always brings bright laughing cheer,
And a smile to everyone.
Little children laughing,
Playing at their games;
Little puppies romping
And getting into things.
Mothers hanging up laundry,
Daddy’s out-of doors;
Children playing hop-scotch
On the cement floors.
How peaceful and quiet it seems,
When the day is o’er;
Midnight now is creeping in___
And then the bright new morn.
8th grade.
warm-leaves.jpgA Place of Peace
Within this empty shell, I clamor,
Not knowing what is the matter?
Up and down the streets I wonder,
Going hither, there and yonder.
All the world, around me is changing,
Rising high, to heavens embracing.
Buildings go fourth, in enormous races,
And people rarely, lift up their faces.
What is all these goings on?
From where I come, we just existed,
Living daily and making true our wishes.
Of the greener grass, yes, we are the other side,
Where brooks run clean and everyone does try_
To do his best, in loving his neighbor,
And giving his all, to those who aren’t able.
Above and beyond duty, kindness does flourish,
Where the simple things, we grow and nourished.
Simple, everyday living and raising our kids,
We work in song, while the earth, we do till.
So from this city, I must hurry,
To catch a train, for me, it will carry_
Back to the place, where people spoke, a fine, hello
,
Tipped their hats and curtsied bellows.
And horses, clip-clopped, in the early morning light,
As the drivers delivered milk, at the ending of night.
Oh! So simple, were those fine days of old,
Carry me back from this place, so forward and bold.
Weariness, emptiness, has beaten me down,
As I lay, mind drifting, on the hard barren ground.
Through half closed eyes, a bright light shines_
A babbling brook breaks through my mind.
A friendly hand, tenderly lefts me up,
My mind confused, I couldn’t say much.
Where am I?
I finally stammered out,
A smile crossed their lips, as they turn, looking about.
And the people came forward and smiled cheerfully,
Ah! Now I know, just where I am at,
The place, of all
