Words of Emotions

Ive been writing poems since I was a little girl. I saved a lot of them, and I lost many, but Im here today to start my book of poems. The cover of my book is a lily flower with tears falling down from all the heartache and struggle Ive been through in life. My nephew, Jonathan Jarvis, age twelve, drew my picture for my book, so I want to thank him for his talent and pray for him to keep doing an excellent job on his artwork. I have my children to share my life with, and I am very proud of them. I have learned a lot being in my last relationship of ten years. It was exciting, and I enjoyed the ride. There are things in life that need change, and sometimes you have to let go and move on because you feel some things are holding you back, and thats what I did. My poems are all from life experience, and I put all my feelings into them. I wish myself luck with my book and success. My name is Lillian Nieves raised and living in Newark, NJ. My hometown is Lower East Side, NYC. I graduated from Barringer HS in 1995. I study and graduated from Admin Asst. in Katherine Gibbs in 1997. I also study and graduated from Medical Assistant in 2006. I have been working in a private office in West Orange, NJ for the past 4 yrs. I am a mother of 3 beautiful lovely children. They are my strength. I won a plaque for one of my poems in 2008 and it was published in “The International Book of Poems”. I live life as happy as I can. Life is full of different things to enjoy with family and friends. Tomorrow is not promised so I celebrate today. I have a few close friends that I love dearly. My friends are my family. They make me feel special at all times. I was in a 10 year relationship so a lot of my poems come from life experience within that relationship. He was a great guy and I will love him forever. He’s a great father of the 2 children we had together. I also have my 16 year old daughter, she is my best friend for life. We grew together and bonded. I had her at 18 years old. I am in a relationship with my friend I know for over 13 years. We used to date back then, We lost contact and reunited again. I call it DESTINY. I’m hoping it will last til death do us apart because after all the years we were separated, we still have that sparkle. In the future, I am hoping to be working on my second book of poems, especially in my language SPANISH. I have faith that my book will sell. I see my life being simple but having a lot of fun and succeeding with my family beside me. I want a big house in Florida. My children will be with me enjoying the days of our lives. I love my family.
