Spencer Andrew Hill Jr., pseudonym Brutally Honest, was born and raised in the jungles of South Philadelphia, PA., where he currently lives. He has been educated in catholic schools, and has attended University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, Widener University, LaSalle University, and the Community College of Philadelphia and has studied a multitude of subjects. Spencer has worked in many professional fields from truck driving to early childhood education, and dedicates much of his time to tutoring and educating children in his South Philadelphia neighborhood. He began writing poetry in 2004, inspired by Tupac Shakur’s The Rose that Grew from Concrete, and The Corners of MY Mind is his first published work.
