    Introduction

It’s early in the morning the sun is shining so bright. It’s the beginning of a new day, New Year and new life for some people. After working so hard for 12 years and even more to others, today last year’s matric candidates are reaping what they’ve sown throughout their schooling period. Question is does their results determine their future and destiny? Can a written piece of paper determine one’s life?. Meet Abraham and his crazy friends Shoes and June.

(Sitting on a very large rock where they used to meet when banking classes)

Abraham: Gents I suggest that we don’t buy a newspaper we will see our results on our statements.

June: Ah! Come on now Barbarian even if we don’t buy the paper we going to find out in anyway.

Shoes : We will see about that, but Bar you the smartest one so you don’t have to stress.

June : Guys remember what Mr. Radebe used to say "Is not the starting line or your pace on the track that matters but the finish line’’ so you might have been passing all these years, performing better than me but there’s no assurance that you will today.

Abraham : Yeah guys, you know what I think? I think we’ve all passed. For the fact that we made it this far not everyone made it this far. Education is like a train, pre-school is departure and everyone catches a train there but destinations varies due to different goals, dreams and at times socio-cultural or soci-economic issues. Destination is not a problem as long as you are not getting lost or following strangers you don’t know, people you just met in a train. Some passengers left this train in primary years but they are now the
