Brunno Kidd - M J M
Introduction
Brunno is a young elementary school student who’s not ready to go back to school just yet, but the first day of school is only hours away. He wakes up a little nervous and feels the butterflies moving around in his stomach. His mom tries to ease his fears from the breakfast table to the school parking lot, and once Brunno sees some familiar faces, he starts to feel a little better, but is that enough?
Brunno’s 1st Chapter
Hi, my name is Brunno, but my friends call me Bru-No. Some of you may know me from last year but some of you do not know me. I am a little boy and I was born six years ago from my mom. I have a dad too, but I was living in my mom’s tummy for a long time.
Anyway, I was in kindergarten before I went to my granny house for summer. My granny lives in Georgia and I live in Florida. School is about to start all over again and I am going to a bigger grade, 1st grade. I think some of my friends will be there too, well that’s what mom told me.
I want my dad to take me to school in the morning, but he has to go work early. Me and my dad have the same name but mine has Jr on the end of it. That means that I am the second person in my family with that name. I have a cousin that we call three because he is the third person with his dad’s name.
I must go to bed now because mom said I need a good night’s rest for school tomorrow. Good night.
Chapter 1
Brunno Kidd
Not Ready
As I sit at the kitchen table, I feel very hot, even though it is always cold in my house. Mom put a big pancake on my spider-man plate and says that everything will be ok Brunno.
But mom, it looks like it’s fin-to rain outside, I think these shoes are too little for me. My head hurts and my tummy feel funny.
She just pats me on the head like I’m a little puppy, and says, you will be ok Brunno, you will see your old friends and make some new ones. Some of your old friends may even be in your class.
But mom, how will I know who they are if they have gotten so old?
She laughs and never answers my question.
Just finish your breakfast so we can get going, you don’t want to walk in class late on the first day of school, do you?
She looked at me and smiled while patting me on my head again.
How about we just hang out at the house and play video games the first day of school, I thought to myself. Why does there have to be a first day of school? I think girls should start on the first day and boys start on the fourth day, or maybe the fifth day. Why do we have to go school? Why can’t we learn at the park while we play tag? School is too turned up, I learned that word (turned up) from my big cousin Shayla this summer. My cousin Shayla is going to 12th grade
