    Scary Business

    My house is filled with monkeys. At least it sounds that way. My little brother is obsessed with a show about a bunch of monkeys and the TV is so loud right now I feel like I’m in a jungle.

    I wish I were in a jungle, actually. Then I would not have to do this super scary thing I’m getting ready to do. I would be swinging from the trees and making ooh-ooh-eeh-eeh! noises with my friends instead of packing to go to Florida.

    They don’t even have snow in Florida! Mom said to pack my summer clothes because it’s supposed to be warm there this week. I helped my dad shovel snow from our driveway last night. Florida sounds weird. And also like a lot less work.

    Florida is where this scary business is about to go down. I found out about it a couple months ago. I’ve been trying not to think about it too much. Mom and Dad say it’s a huge honor and they’re proud of me and other mushy stuff, but I when I think about what’s going to happen there, my stomach feels like it is full of
