About this ebook

It was 1975, in The Month of April In New York City when I got my calling. I was called to be attentive to the Holy Spirit within me that said, I need to seek, and build a relationship with God. I was led to start a fast...no food, no drinking, no smoking, and no sleeping with women. The Holy Spirit led me t

Denroy Morgan

Denroy Morgan is a musician/producer, but most importantly an inspired man of GOD. At the young age of 19, he traveled to the United States with a few dollars and a dream to explore opportunities for a better life for his family. Since the 1970's, Denroy has worked tirelessly while pursuing a career in the music industry. With the release of "I'll Do Anything for You" in 1981, heI began to experience success as the first crossover reggae artist, which led to his signing with RCA Records in 1984. Since then he has served as the producer and manager for the international and Grammy Award winning reggae group, Morgan Heritage. In addition to becoming a Bishop of the International Gospel Helpers Church, Denroy Morgan is a proud lifetime member of the Twelve Tribes of Israel. As a spiritual activist, he serves as the Ambassador for the Ethiopian Orthodox Coptic Church of North and South America for the international Rastafarian community. Additionally, he is a member of the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC). Through Ras Denroy Morgan's spiritual journey, he has recognized the need for unity and purity within families, churches, and community-based organizations. The goal of his ministry is one of unification around the Abrahamic and Davidic Covenant while building GOD's kingdom on earth. His mission is to restore the blessing of the children of Abraham through the true spirituality that can be found in Judaism, Islam, Christianity, and Rastafari. A survey by the Pew Religion and Public Life Project (2012) found that more people consider themselves spiritual vs. religious. Therefore, Ras Denroy Morgan's goal is to awaken the spirit of unity in all mankind because he knows religion has been used as a divisive tool used to exert power. As a touring public speaker, Ras Denroy Morgan shares his expertise on topics, such as: Finding Spiritual Healing; The Principles of Fatherhood vs. Manhood; Rebuilding Families; What Is Rastafari?; Navigating the Entertainment Business; and Know Your History: The African Diaspora. FOREWORD

Rastafari is one of the most profound philosophical developments of the twentieth century. It is the first attempt to link the origins of Judaeo-Christian cosmology to its African roots.  That it came out of Jamaica is even more remarkable, but not surprising, as Jamaica is the birthplace of mento, ska, rock steady, dub, reggae, dancehall and one beat and is recognized as a significant creative hub. This, in itself, is an amazing achievement.

For Rastafari, the Holy Bible is one of the sources of direction and inspiration; and while many academic analyses and discourse relating to Rastafari livity are available, few instructional text on how to practice the faith and lifestyle are in existence, and those are not widely available. Most of the traditions and rituals are not notated or preserved in text and are left to memory and continuing practice.  Notable exceptions to this fact are – To the Royal Parchment Scroll of Black Supremacy by Fitz Balintine Pettersburg,  The Promised Key by  Leonard P. Howell, the Universal Negro Catechism by Rev. George McGuire and  the Holy Piby by  Robert Athlyi Rogers. These, while not exclusively Rastafari texts, are accepted as the most influential documents that form the foundation of the philosophical underpinnings of the movement.

From the Cross to The Throne is a welcome addition to these noble texts of Afrocentric orientation, especially at this time when oppression and technological subjugation of people of African origins seem to be on the rise.

Reggae patriarch and preacher, Ras Denroy Morgan, has served the Rastafari movement well for over four decades. The ordained Bishop of the International Gospel Helpers Church and a member of the American Clergy Leadership Conference, he is also Ambassador of the Ethiopian Orthodox Coptic Church of North and South America to the Rastafarian Community Internationally and long-standing member of the Twelve Tribes of Israel.

From the Cross to The Throne is yet another contribution to his enlightenment ministry, the development of an African cosmology. The book is blueprint and manual for how to conduct oneself in the faith. The book is prayer book, hymnal, catechism, and testimonial, all at the same time.

The book is a culmination of years of tireless ministry and preaching for this reggae warrior who has been delivering the Rastafarian message of love, peace, self-determination, self-love and the restoration of the dignity and glory of the African – a message he and his family, (Morgan Heritage) have been spreading worldwide through word- sound-power.

I salute his effort to bring form and life to Rastafarian traditions through the creation of this book, which is a significant and important text for African/Rastafari ontology and cosmology.

    Prayers

    Early Morning Prayer

Go before us, oh mighty JAH, the almighty Creator of the universe. We ask that through your mercy and your grace, the blood of Yoshua Jesus the Christ, the redeeming Messiah cut and clear all unclean energy and danger from within and around and about us. From the east to the west, from the north to the south, from the depths to the heights, remove all unclean energy and danger that our day will be blessed with peace, safety, and prosperity in all we do. May the words of our mouth and the mediation of our heart be acceptable in thy sight, Oh heavenly Mother and Father of the universe, the Giver and  Preserver of life, who live it and reign it, in the hearts of all men, women and children. Amen. Selah for ever and ever, More glory to JAH Rastafari.

    Traveling Prayer

He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalms 91:1) Yahweh Elohim, through your divine love, your mercy, and your grace, we ask that you go before us and let safety be pronounced upon our journey from one destination onto another and I and I shall lift up our heads unto the mountains from whence cometh our help. Our help cometh from the Lord God of Israel who made heaven and earth. He will not suffer our foot to be moved; He that keepeth I and I shall not slumber. Behold He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is our Keeper the Lord is our shade upon our right hand. The sun shall not smit us by day, nor the moon and stars by night. The Lord shall protect us from all evil; He shall preserve our soul. The Lord shall guide and preserve our going out and our coming in from this time forth, and even forever more. Amen. Selah. May the words of our mouth and the mediation of our heart be acceptable in thy sight oh Heavenly Mother and Father of the universe who live it and reign it in the hearts of all men, women, and children forever and evermore. Amen. Selah. Glory to JAH Rastafari.

    Prayer Before Meal

We thank the Lord JAH for this our food, the most of all for Jesus’ blood. May this food be beneficial to our body and our soul. May hands that provide it be blessed and the hands that prepare it be blessed also; and may the store basket of our house and our efforts never go empty. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen. Selah. Glory to JAH Rastafari.

    Going to Bed Prayer

Just as I am, without one plea; and that thy blood were shed for me; and that thou bid us to come through the oh holy lamb of God, I comes. I give thanks and praise for the breath of life, the guidance, the protection, and the preservation that you have given us, as I lay my head to sleep. in your holy hands, I put my soul to keep, to guide and protect us through this resting moment. Amen and amen. Selah, may the words of our mouth and the mediation of our heart be acceptable in thy sight, oh heavenly Mother and Father of the universe, who live it and reign it in the hearts of all men, women and children. Introduction

From The Cross To The Throne

A picture containing man, old, standing, wearing Description automatically generated

We must Remember that one of the messages Jesus Christ left with us believers is to tell the world that the Kingdom of God is at hand, and carried through the vision of Jesus Christ. To fulfill the prophecy that has been written in the book of Revelation in this time, that is our Mission.

We pray blessings of Grace and mercy will be extended to each and everyone. Glory to JAH Rastafari.

    The Blessings of Judah

In this prayer, He leads us in teaching us how to pray. (Luke 11: 2)

Our Father which is in Heaven, hallowed be thy Name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, On earth, as it is in Heaven.  Selah.

    Jacob blessing Judah

The blessings continue, from the first book of the Bible, Genesis, to the last book of the Bible, Revelation, as an everlasting blessing. The blessing of Judah manifests in the everlasting Covenant of King David.  Which identifies with God’s Kingdom on earth that Jesus Christ, the Redeeming Messiah prayed for.

    (Genesis 49:8-10):

Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thy enemies. Thy father’s children shall bow down before thee.

Judah is a lion's whelp;  from the prey, my son, thou art gone up. He stooped down.  He crouched. As an old lion: who shall rouse him up?

The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a law giver from between his feet, until Shiloh come, and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. ( SELAH)

Let's remind our people who Jacob is...

Jacob is one of the two sons that Isaac had with Rebecca. We identify ourselves as a family. We identify ourselves not as children of Jacob, but as a family, we carry the blessings of the children of Israel, as Jacob became born again for this kingdom.

The redeeming Messiah came over 2,000 years ago. You did not accept Him. You did not crown Him,
