Grace Franklin returns to The Context of White Supremacy. Ms. Franklin is a founding member of OKC Artists For Justice. She visited with us in the spring of 2015 to hightlight the case of alleged sexual terrorist and former Oklahoma City enforcement officer, Daniel Holtzclaw. Holtzclaw was arrested in August of 2014 and is charged with 36 counts of sexual assaults exclusively targeting black females. Even with all of the bevy of attention on police terrorism against black people, this case has been widely tuned out. Ms. Franklin and colleagues have worked tirelessly to bring attention to this case, while insisting that black mothers, black sisters and black daughters be valued and protected. We'll get her views on the trial's opening week.
