Introduction
The triangle is an interesting symbol with compacted meanings dated back thousands of years. My early dealings with triangles were merely mathematical expressions called polygons in geometry. This is not a mathematical book, I repeat this is not a math book. For the readers that love math please relax, I am using the triangle as a foundation for conversation and a symbol of connection.
The triangle is a connection of three sides that share a point. Each side and point have an angle, but it is not defined if it does not stay together. I will discuss more of this in later sections of the writings. The triangle is on the United States currency, Greek sorority Delta, Google drive, Google play, HGTV, Kenwood, Delta Airlines, Delta Dental, AOL, CITGO, Mitsubishi, and Caterpillar. These are just a few of the major companies that display the triangle uniquely in their company’s logo. Some historians include in the triangle’s history that it is a feminine traditional pagan symbol when turned upside down. It is also perceived as a masculine symbol in its appearance because of the stability that it presents on its base right side up.
My objective in this writing is to turn our ability to communicate with loved ones Right Side Up! Miscommunication, bad communication, and no communication cannot become the standard communication in any relationship.
➢ Listen
➢ Learn
➢ Love
The connection of these three are critical to your success in conversation that will ultimately create a wonderful relational cosmos without conversational chaos. Staying connected, concerned, and in covenant does not just happen, it requires effort. Effort is more than trying. It is a vigorous, determined attempt, a strenuous mental or physical exertion.
When we want to talk about something that has positively affected us we are determined to express ourselves. What would it be like in our relational conversations if we took the same vitality and vigor and used it for hearing when someone else is talking?
We can put effort into our listening skills and change the very fabric of a relationship. Each point of Listening, Learning, and Loving within the triangle should touch each other. As long as these three points are, our conversations will be affected by a thoughtful touch.
Triangle
Of the three main types of triangles, I contemplated hard how Listen, Learn, and Love would assemble themselves to them.
I thought of it in all three. Equilateral, isosceles, and scalene. An equilateral triangle demonstrates three equal sides. That would mean that your ability to listen, learn, and love would be equal and lacking nothing. An isosceles triangle in our context would indicate two of the three sides being equal, such as love and listening, listening and learning, or love and learning. There would be one that is discordant while the other two functioned in balance.
As I continued to evaluate I believe, listen, learn, and love resembles more of the scalene triangle because there are no equal sides. I believe that we all have the ability to listen, learn, and love, but all of us have different levels and are on different levels, but we are all capable of increasing them.
On the other hand, if we were to take the triangle apart, it would be three single edges that no longer touch or have a connection. An edge is dangerous if not handled with care. Each edge is individualized and measurable. This simply means the visibility of your strength and weaknesses are on display rather
