Dr. Sheila Crump was born and reared in Chatham County, North Carolina and graduated from Shaw Divinity School and Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina with a Bachelor Degree in Theology and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies (Multidisciplinary). She received a Master of Divinity Degree from Shaw University Divinity School in Raleigh, NC. In May 2009, she received the Doctor of Ministry Degree from Slidell Baptist Seminary in Slidell, Louisiana. She is listed in the Whos Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges, the National Deans list, All American Scholar, National Award Winner, Pinnacle and Gold Medal Honors. She is one of the first female Deacon ordained at Liberty Chapel United Church of Christ (Former home church), First female of Liberty Chapel United Church of Christ ordained into the Christian Ministry (1985-1997 102 years). First black female preached in Moncure Baptist Church Moncure, NC and the First female Assistant Pastor at Sandhill United Church of Christ. For six years, she served as Assistant Pastor under the senior pastorate of Rev. Cleno Harris, Jr. at the Sandhill United Church of Christ in Aberdeen, North Carolina. She is the Founder of SC Ministries in Moncure, North Carolina and the Founder and Pastor of Word of Life Church in Jonesboro, North Carolina. She is Christs servant, friend, a community leader, former Radio host, intercessor, mentor and advocate for spiritual and societal change. Dr. Crump has two adult daughters, three granddaughters and one son-in-law.
