SumPoo hollered with a hollow voice dripping with fear and terror.
A huge tapestry depicting an ancient Chinese dragon collapsed towards him, assuming the shape of some hideous monster as it dropped.

Detective Judge Dee , or Dee, as known to his friends and working associates, pondered the huge warehouse of ancient objects of mythological and historical interest.
This section was strictly for Chinese artifacts.
The air was musty, but clear of dust.
The shadows were deep.
There were lights, but high up and low wattage, so, mostly they created pockets of deep shadows, with narrow reveals of the contents of the myriad shelves of stored items.
