The adventures of Misu

It is a novel that deals with the real story of the cat Misu. In it the kitten is adopted into a house due to the need of his new owner to protect his orchard from birds, lizards and a cunning rat that eat the leaves, flowers and fruits of his plants.
In his new home, Misu grows up and finds a companion very similar to him, but it is a stray cat, called the Gatuno, together they establish a relationship of mutual help in exchange for Misu's food and Misu to learn the tricks of cat life by the experience of the other cat and thus be able to catch the elusive rat.
In the surroundings of that new house, Misu finds the love of his life in a female cat, the Diva; who will make his hair stand on end with excitement, making Misu choose between leaving with the female cat or staying with his owner.
The end will surprise his owner understanding how his cat Misu has a great friendship for him that will give the most precious thing in his life.

PREFACE

Animals as pets are part of one more member of the family, and they perceive the way they are treated. If they are cared for with affection, they respond by contributing the magic that each of these little animals has as a masterpiece of nature.

The Adventures of Misu, is a novel that describes the true story of the cat Misu. It refers to the need for a man to take care of his beloved orchard from the attacks of birds, lizards and a cunning rat, which eat the leaves, flowers and fruits of the plants that he has grown there.

In a possible solution, he seeks the help of a kitten, who is separated from his cat family environment and taken to his new home for adoption, where he will find the necessary shelter, establishing a bond between the orchard, his house and his owner who he accepted lovingly.

As time grows, the kitten transforms into the cat Misu and establishes a bond of companionship with a stray cat called the Gatuno, who always visits him in search of something to eat.

Thanks to the advice of the stray cat for his experience, between the two there is a relationship of mutual help that allows Misu to fight against the animals that are trying to destroy the orchard, testing his cunning and agility that is in it.

Misu becomes a prey cat capable of walking on the roof of his house to watch over and protect his orchard. In those nocturnal rounds, one day he decides to explore further and to his surprise he finds the love of his life in a female cat, the Diva; who will make his hair stand on end with excitement, making Misu choose between leaving with the female cat or staying with his owner.

The end will surprise his owner understanding how his beloved cat Misu has a great friendship for him that will give the most precious thing in his life.

Chapter 1

In a house made up of a small porch, two rooms and a backyard of one hundred and thirty square meters, a man in his sixties decided to transform a small part his family orchard. Very enthusiastic, he wanted to prepare the ground with his own hands, which he then dug to a depth of six inches and filled it in with potting earth. In addition, he placed a number of organic materials, such as fruit shells, vegetable stalks that could provide energy to his plants.

One morning, he got up very early to prepare the ground, watered it with plenty of water, and as usual, began to do his chores around the house. The next day, he proceeded in the morning to transplant several sweet chili pepper, tomato, paprika, passion fruit plants, each one approximately four inches high. Passionate about planting, he marveled and his face filled with happiness as he watched his little plants grow over time as if they were his own daughters.

After three months, of constant discipline in watering and taking care of the orchard, one morning he saw with joy the first fruits of his already grown plants. A beautiful and tender paprika that emerged from one of its branches, as he also noticed, in the beauty of other plants a sweet chili pepper and some tomatoes germinated. In turn, a passion fruit plant entangled on four bent rods and buried at their ends at eight equidistant points in the orchard, formed as a semi sphere. All the plants grew in a harmonious and clean way by the care of man.

One day he felt so happy that he notified his wife about the first fruits, after so much effort watering his plants every day, he asked her to accompany him to water the orchard. When the woman saw the beautiful plants already grown, she helped him collect the leaves that fell to the ground and placed a powerful fertilizer on each plant that allowed it to give strong and vigorous fruits.

Every day he felt a peace and tranquility watching his orchard grow, and every time he finished watering it in the morning, while he saw his beloved plants he would rest on a chair next to it and savor his cup of coffee. He was a very amateur man, so much so that on his computer he kept a photographic file with the weekly and detailed description of the growth of the orchard.

Until one day when starting his daily routine, he checked his plants and saw with horror and resentment a sweet chili pepper plant, cut from the stem that was connected to the fruit of the plant. As well as, the fruits of a paprika plant were missing, and part of the leaves had been eaten.

The man under his outburst released the hose with which he was going to water the orchard, placing his hands on his head and looking thunderstruck. In that instant he thought to the animal that could have made such a mess in his beautiful and fruitful orchard. He analyzed the situation and concluded that some ants, a lizard or a bird, could not have had enough strength to gnaw and tear off the stem and take the fruit. He entered his house terrified and the image of an animal came to his mind, a malicious rat.

Alarmed and distressed by the damage to his orchard, he repeated the rodent's name several times to his wife. The woman perceived the worst and she was confused. Trying to calm him down, she explained that a rat could not have entered the orchard, since the entire house was fenced off with a wall of blocks over two meters high.

The pensive man, without spirit, sat down and was speechless; He was so distressed, that he did not want his cup of coffee as usual. His wife suggested installing a cage trap to catch her. At the moment he reacted and repeated a rat, a rat. Well, the animal had eaten the few fruits that had already emerged from its beautiful and beautiful plants. He just repeated like a robot a rat, a rat, his eyes expressed anger and his gaze was lost as in a sunset by the destruction of his orchard.

Following the advice of his wife, he prepared a cage trap with metal grids with a door that opened upwards; He placed bait inside it, to force it to fall into it. Hastily, he placed it in the center of the orchard and waited until the next day to see the results.

When night comes, the atmosphere remained in darkness and in total silence. An animal poked its nose over the top of the wall that delimited the orchard, it was a rat that had smelled the bait, it moved its head in a hurry to the sides, and a little mouse appeared further behind. The two rodents walked on top of the wall, before going to the trap, they stopped and talked.

It seems that there are no obstacles in the orchard. You saw, you saw! hinted the little mouse to the rat that was very cautious.

Don’t be sure about that. I suspect something, warned the rat, looking at the little mouse.

The little mouse tried to go down the wall looking for the smell of the bait towards the center of the orchard that had it stunned. The rat with a single jerk stopped him by biting his right hind paw.

Ouch! Why are you biting me? questioned the little mouse when he felt a whip on his back paw.

Don’t be foolish! There may be something strange waiting for us in the center of the orchard,

But it doesn’t feel anything. Everything is silent, very in silent,

I know, but my rat intuition tells me there is something strange waiting for us there. Let’s go out together. We go down and when we are on the ground I take a step and stop, you take the next step and stop, when we get there we’ll discover what it is that rich smell,

The rat and the little mouse joined together silently, to reach that smell
