I was born and raised in South Africa in a small town called Witbank. I served in my church by being a member of the worship team - I play the bass guitar. I love the Lord. He has helped me through so many problems in my life that I know I couldn’t have handled without His strength. He loves me back and only wants what’s best for me.

One day I was wondering what I could do for Him; I was playing the bass guitar in my church band, but I wanted to serve Him more, to give more of myself. God gifted me in so many ways, not only in music, but with a big imagination and a passion to write stories.

So this book, my first, is me serving my Lord in spreading His story, His message and the message is that He loves you and wants to have a relationship with you. It is my prayer that when you read this book, you will see how God can work in your own life and that in Him all things are possible.

While you’re reading this book, if there are any words or phrases that you don’t understand, I’ve added a part at the back of the book (the glossary) where I explain some of the harder words and sayings.

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

 Chapter 1

The Pet Shop

There were butterflies everywhere. The kitten was bouncing around on her hind legs trying to catch one of the fluttering temptations all around her. She felt... so happy. Ooo, colours everywhere!

I must have one.

A really large butterfly had just landed right in front of her on the soft green grass that was tickling her paws. Instantly she dropped down, crouching in stealth mode, she must not be seen. She really wanted this one, and to make sure that her body was in the right position she wriggled her shoulders, making sure every part of her was loose and ready for this pounce. Not just any pounce; this
