A Certified Strategic Business Analyst is an experienced professional who has earned the accredited gold-standard certified business analyst credential from The American Academy of Project Management ®. This credential is offered to the individual with several years of experience in software requirements management. The Certified Strategic Business Analyst® certification program is designed to deliver a deep, practical understanding of software requirements processes. The process of researching and analyzing the activities of a project for possible gaps in business requirements and inefficiencies in solution delivery is carried out by a professional (or an expert group) appointed to the role of business analyst. This professional contributes to solving the solution design and implementation issues in project management by providing expert advice, guidance and leadership to the project manager, team and other stakeholders. The business analyst takes ultimate responsibility for identifying and solving problems affecting the business solution, and works closely with the project manager to analyze the existing business systems and make recommendations for improvement.
The business analyst focuses on the business issues surrounding the system. This person helps to identify the business value that the system will create, develops ideas for improving the business processes, and helps design new business processes and policies. The business analyst will have business training and experience, plus knowledge of analysis and design.
Business Analyst analyzes the enterprise and design organizations, ministries as well as non-profit organizations. Business Analysts analyze the business models as well as their association with technology. Business Analysis includes at least four domain areas:
Strategic Planning – This level of analysis includes the evaluation of strategic activities of the company.
Business / Operation Model Analysis – This level includes the identification as well as evaluation of policies and procedures of the organization to do business.
Process Definition & Design – This level of analysis includes the business process modeling, which is often the outcome of process design and modeling.
IT & Technology Business Analysis – This level encompasses the rules as well as needs for technical systems. This analysis is usually encountered in the IT field.
A Certified Strategic Business Analyst must be able to work as a core intermediate of the company. The role of a Certified Strategic Business Analyst proceeds on several dimensions as well as responsibilities, which all match into the huge domain of the core businesses of the organization. The core businesses of any company are packed with processes and the successful working of these processes is under the responsibility of Business Analyst, nominated for that specific project. The primary role of a Certified Strategic Business Analysts includes the generating idea for new processes, developing them and essentially implementing them to ensure that they’re functioning well.
In addition, Certified Strategic Business Analyst requires guaranteeing these processes are organized in a way, which permits those processes to be modified to other portions of the company. The Certified Strategic Business Analyst (CSBA) must have a clear understanding on how the processes are functioning currently in the environment of the business; hence, the CSBA is able to realize how operative it is and after measuring the worthiness. The CSBA can identify the gaps and then find the solutions to fill the gaps. CSBA also ensures to prevent those gaps in the new processes.
Since Certified Strategic Business Analyst serves as the core processes of a business in the company, he/she needs to communicate with several departments of an organization. Communication with the uppermost position or top management of the company is essential roles of a Certified Strategic Business Analyst. Moreover, he needs to interact with company’s Sales force, Marketing Department, Finance & Accounting department, the Production department and the human resource department as a part of this role. He/she also requires to aware the customer’s consumer behavior, which is influenced to the organization’s businesses. In addition, the job of Certified Strategic Business Analyst isn’t of a static in nature. Certified Strategic Business Analyst requires being dynamic, well in his ideas, action, and words. In order to
