First off, let me say that I’m thrilled that you picked up this condensed
cookbook. I also acknowledge that when you read the title of this book you probably said, Yo Steve ass is crazy.
The title came from the most authentic parts of me though. In my opinion, when you look around for cookbooks there is no true depiction of US. We’re forced to conform to what society says is acceptable to be a chef or just a simple neighborhood cook. Wear this, talk like that, don’t say this and blah blah blah. Fuck that noise! I am a proud black man with an urban upbringing and we use the word nigga
