Seasoned With Soul - Kevin Cornell Johnson
Shore Boy Blue Crab Dip
Ingredients:
1 lb lump blue crab meat (claw meat will also do)
8 oz soften cream cheese
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp Old bay seasoning
1 Tbsp onion powder
1 Tbsp garlic powder
3 Tbsp Mayonnaise (more if needed)
4 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
4 oz shredded mild cheddar cheese
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl add your dry ingredients and then add your wet ingredients, mix them together until they are well combined.
Add in your lump crab meat ( save a few lumps to the side for garnish) and gently fold the meat into the wet mixture until your dip is thoroughly incorporated.
In a baking dish, pour your dip, and using a rubber or wooden spatula smooth out your dip evenly.
Top your dip with both of your shredded cheeses and dust a little more old bay on top (optional)
Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until your cheese is melted and bubbly. Please allow your crab dip to cool for at least 10 minutes before you devour it. (watch out for your friends, they will make this dip disappear like magic)
Pro tip: Choosing the right dip chip is crucial to enjoying this dip to its fullest. In my family we use Wheat Thins Crackers, they have the perfect flavor profile
