Lars Behrendt
Lars Behrendt was born on the 8th of March 1973 in North Germany. He is a Dipl.-Ing. (Graduate Engineer) and the CEO and Founder of Granny&Smith GmbH & Co. KG. In 1990-1993 he went to the University of Oldenburg where he studied Computer Science. He later went to the University of Applied Science in Bremen and studied European Product Engineering & Management, where he specialized in Innovation Engineering & eBusiness. CAREER INFORMATION Lars founded the innovation agency Granny&Smith in 2006. He and his team have supported more than 50 start-ups and created many innovations for Dax corporations and Fortune 500 companies. He is considered one of the leading global innovation experts because he can score with practical experience of over 15 years of experience as CEO of Granny&Smith Innovationslabs. There he has gained his expertise from working with many projects and developed his Innovation-method called Innoweek. He started his company as a creative engineering office and was one of Germany's first innovation agencies. In the meantime, he has established a firm place for himself in the innovation business as a bestselling book author and keynote speaker. He is a co-developer and driver of diverse groundbreaking innovations. He has accompanied companies such as IBM, Telekom, BMW, and Volkswagen in their innovation processes. He is the author of "Get. Real. Innovation." In his book "Get. Real. Innovation." he tells his personal story and experiences about how to become innovative and why it is so difficult for so many people. Lars gives talks at leading tech conferences and platforms like IFA, CEBIT, TED. Also, he is known for his lectureship at Jacobs University and various media appearances. Since 2008, he has also been investing his private wealth in selected start-ups, products, and patents.
