Chapter 1 Chasing Rainbows!
Wow, a change has occurred in my life! Life to me has always, been amazing (to me of course)! The twist, and turns are accelerating. The way of the world is changing swiftly, and I believe it could be for good. Most people are afraid of our day-to-day routines. I feel like I am jumping on the Unicorn and chasing the Rainbow. People are too scared to live now these days. In this time going outside without a mask, is dangerous. It is funny because we saw movies, but now we see it in real life.
Fortunately, I am living with infinite favor in this world. At this point, we have been healthy, I thank God! Especially with having five kids, germs are high on the list of visitors. I am leaving God to move through taking care of my kids. This allows me to chase the rainbow. finding a pot of gold at the end.
Somehow, that is the funny part. We never know what the day brings. Some people are scammers. Trying to find the next big thing
. I am happy living my little life. While taking care of my kid’s chasing the rainbow, is the most fun I have (in my mind).
Everything is so crazy and different, but I stand still. I am Baby Ruth welcome to my adventurous story. Ring, ring
I wonder who is calling, to disturb my happy moment. It is this b**** Foxy.
What up boo?
Ruth say’s
Foxy!
, she says in a whiney tone.
Yes, what are you doing?
I need to talk about this dude!
In my mind I think awe s**t
Ok, what he did…Wait! Which dude?
I ask.
Ruth girl, you know!
No Foxy, I do not know.
Ok b****, the trick.
Okay yeah! You got the light bill trick. Gym membership, and daycare fees trick. Car payment and rent?! Not that it matters, what did he do girl?
This dude ask can he come over to my crib.
For real girl. What you say?
We can meet at the room. Now, he already knows he is not meeting over here. No matter what that bag looks like!
So, then what Fox?
He tried to play me like a b****! I got to pay a bill for the wife, I only got a rack. He needs to know, he only getting a kiss on the cheek! Ruth, I am so sick of this s**t!
Burn! Well Fox, I know you wanted that 3 pieces. Remember, what you do not get out in the wash you can get out in the rinse. You know me I love doing laundry. Also, I do not get it like you no way. You got this!
What you mean Ruth?
Do not worry Foxy, you going to get it one day that money you want!
Damn Ruth, I really want that Pressure Carpet Wash 5000.
Okay, change the subject boo! Now, how the business coming along any new contracts? Well, did you talk to your Dad?
No, but I just went to my Granny house brought them some groceries, and some smokes. My uncle even gave me $40, and I added another $60 to that. I am ‘bout to go to Mrs. Shirley and drop this money for my Dad.
, Foxy said.
That is what is up! I am so glad you got him.
Forget that B****!
Foxy said. You need to hoe up.
, she said under her breath.
B****, what you say?!
You can step it up get you one of them Johns from that shop!
Do not worry, my pot of gold coming soon. See, my truth going to carry me, and your Daddy! Now, get off my phone, I got to check on that old ass man hollering about he got the COVID-19. He called Mrs. Shirley with his last call on earth, and she did not tell me nothing.
See, I noticed that the women in Memphis do what they are instructed. I had to call her a week later. So, get off my phone so I can make a few phone calls and check on my husband.
Ok, so what do you want me to do?
I want you to get off my phone so I can make a few phone calls. I do not want to talk right now. I told you your daddy sick. What do you not understand, I got to call them people? I might must call the B.O.P., B.O.J., or might must call the President. You know me girl get off my line.
Ok Ruth. Cool, hit me up when you get done.
Bet!
See, I married into a Memphis Mob unknowing. I do not get it. No time, no peace around here. My husband and stepdaughter call me all day every day. Well, I guess I love it! Since they do call way from Tennessee to harass me.
OK, well anyway that was my stepdaughter Foxy, she calls me, and I call her all day. We do everything together. I am stepmom/best friend; she really thinks I am her friend. Today is July 17, 2020. Let me take you back to when I first met this young lady. I was about 25 years old. I believe she was about 17 years old, and her dad told me she was beyond me in wisdom, meaning street knowledge. Man, it was nice but at the same time it was nothing nice. She was a hell cat! I will write her book soon. I believe it is my first time introducing Foxy into one of my books. Recently she just upset me, so she gets to start the chapter. I look at her as my best friend also. Yes, she does get on my nerves. Her and her daddy get on my nerves.
Anyway, let me call these people at this prison. They keep playing with me about this old man. They should know my husband trained me to check on him after so many days when I do not hear from him. He checks-in every week but since we had a recent disagreement, I was not alarmed that he had not called. I will do anything for him. Hold on!
901-467-5000.
. Yeah, they got me messed up in my mind.
You have reached the Core Civic Tennessee leave a message.
Can you let me know what is going on with Mr. Right? I have not heard from him in too many days.
He gone be saying, nobody cares about him nobody loves him. I do not want to hear that because the one thing I do have is love for him. He does not seem to love me even though we have been married for 17 years. I know he loves me. I told you his name, Mr. Right, he got his own book. This edition is not about him, but since I had to check on him... It is what is in my mind. I do not want to get sidetracked with telling the whole Mr. Right story. Mr. Right has been with me for a long time. I mean he dead wrong, but I love him regardless. I believe. Mr. Right treated me right like a Queen. Yeah, like a Queen! So, back to this phone call.
Ring, ring, ring.
