What is your life’s work and legacy?

Does it all redirect to God, and grace, and Him glorified,

To the cross at Calvary and Him crucified,

To the empty garden tomb and Him risen?

What has your life’s journey left behind?

Forgiveness and mercy, redemption and purpose,

Knowing in whom you have believed,

What is your life’s work and legacy?

The complexity of brevity is to remain short yet concise, i.e.,

It was good in the beginning and let there be light.

The simplicity of identity is finding where you’ve been hiding,

from the love of Christ,

And returning to the rest you were created for,

Because you have been created in His image,

and made for so much more.

Now I’m surrendered,

and now I am yours.

Now I finally get it,

and now… I’m truly yours.

Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.¹

You are Faithful

Lord, I’m listening intently as You softly whisper,

Patiently waiting for Your response,

I confidently remember,

You will finish what You’ve started,

You will keep Your word like always,

You are Faithful to the end,

And You are Faithful to Your promise.

To see it all through to completion,

from Genesis to Revelation,

I need only be patient, as You show Yourself gracious,

While angels and elders declare all Your greatness,

Glory and praises surround You on Your throne,

You are constant in Your love and I am never alone,

Hallelujah (You are all I need.)

You contended for a wretch like me,

My all sufficient strength in time of need.

On You I am dependent,

I am convinced that,

Through You I am a changed man,

And Your Spirit is my witness.

Where two or more are gathered,

there they are in the trenches,

and there You are with us,

Hallelujah (to the sovereign King.)

To the Alpha and Omega,

The Father and Creator,

The breath of life,

And life’s orator.

Author and Perfecter,

Constant in Your efforts,
