Spoken Verb, a.k.a. Joel Martin, is an author, spoken word artist, and the owner and CEO of RepYahOn, a clothing lifestyle brand created to encourage positivity and self-love.

Joel was born in Chattanooga TN and introduced to the street life at the age of sixteen. He was book smart and street smart. A combination that helped him maneuver through the city of Indianapolis IN. Where he moved to when he was 17 years old. Being raised as a Jehovah’s Witness, he also had a sense of spirituality, which helped to develop his conscious and a thirst for knowledge.

He attended Clark Atlanta University until his senior year when he left to make his mark on the Atlanta music scene, along with his younger brother. he was ready to "ball or
