    Foreword

Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.

    —Hebrews 11:1 tpt

This verse tells us how vital having faith is in order to see our hopes materialize. Why is it, then, that what should be natural to us often seems difficult? The importance of faith for a victorious Christian life cannot be understated so much so that Jesus, our wonderful Lord and Savior, said, When the Son of Man returns would He find faith on the earth? (Luke 18:8). This timely and inspired book by two-time best-selling author Candice Moe provides a solid Bible-centric pathway of how to nurture one’s faith based on the inerrant Word of the only true and living God, our sweet Daddy. I am so grateful to God for shaping Candice into the dynamic and committed woman of God that she is. As her mother, I am super proud of my daughter, and I am excited to see how, with the help of the precious Holy Spirit, she continues to bring honor and glory to our God.

    Preface

In 2012, the Holy Spirit told me that the Father has commissioned me to write several books that would contain the heart of the Father for His beloved children. I was instructed not to pursue becoming published but rather to continue spending many hours each day reading the written Word of God and implementing it into my daily life. I have been a seer (1 Sam. 9:9) since childhood, and in 2013, scribe angels began visiting me during the midnight hours that I set aside to spend time with my Lord and Friend, Jesus Christ. These angels would come bearing supernatural scrolls, which are themselves alive, and these scrolls would often dictate to me the Father’s words housed within their being. On some occasions, however, the scribes accompanying the scrolls would be my aids. Without faith it is impossible to please Papa God, and as such, there were also occasions where the Holy Spirit would not allow me to see into the spiritual realm but simply had me confess with my mouth that they were there with Him and with me, even when hidden from my eyes. This book is the first of two Daddy had me begin in 2013. As the Holy Spirit was teaching me through Daddy’s written Word, the Holy Bible, I was required to live every chapter and to pass every test myself. I have seen the mighty hand of God transform my life, and I am a living testimony that the Word of God works!

    Acknowledgments

I absolutely must render every single ounce of praise and all the glory this acknowledgment can possibly contain to my Lord, Savior, and Friend, King Jesus Christ! Thank You, Lord, for snatching my sinful soul from the jaws of hell and giving me new life through Your blood sacrifice. Truly, You make all things new! Thank You so much for allowing me to walk with You these past nine years and for equipping me and using me as You do. Living with You, Jesus, is pure delight! I love You so much, and I look forward to each new chapter with You!

Daddy God, there truly are no words sufficient enough to tell of my love and gratitude for You! You are Love itself, and the very thought of one day being with You in heaven, embracing You for a thousand generations, and literally living with You forever produces such tremendous joy and gladness within my soul that I feel like I will combust at any moment! You love me so incredibly, and I will spend every single day of my life declaring Your beauty! I absolutely love You, Daddy!

Oh, Holy Spirit, You are the absolute Best Friend anyone can ever even dream of having! You are so patient, loving, and kind. You walk behind me to protect me, and You walk ahead of me, guiding me into all truth and green pastures. I owe my maturing in Christ to You, and as I reflect on these past nine years, every single trial and every painful test that helped crucify my flesh absolutely pales in comparison to Your beautiful heart, which overflows with Your love for me (and for all). We have such fun together, and I am so excited to begin this new decade hand in hand with You! Thank You for loving me so completely! I love You so incredibly much!

To my incredible mother, Margaret Bentham-Moe. The appreciation my heart has for your selfless love and the way you prayed me out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God’s marvelous light will echo into eternity! Thank you, from the depths of my innermost being. I love you!

Daddy, I love you! Thank you for everything you continue to do for our family. May the Lord our God bless you beyond measure!

    Introduction

The purpose of this book is to show you clearly, by the written Word of Papa God, exactly what the Father’s perfect will is for you in every area and aspect of your life and how to receive the full expression of it.

    Lazarus Raised from the Dead

In the village of Bethany there was a man named Lazarus, and his sisters, Mary and Martha. Mary was the one who would anoint Jesus’ feet with costly perfume and dry His feet with her long hair.

One day Lazarus became very sick to the point of death. So his sisters sent a message to Jesus, Lord, our brother Lazarus, the one You Love, is very sick. Please come!

When He heard this, He said, This sickness will not end in death for Lazarus, but will bring Glory and Praise to God. This will reveal the Greatness of the Son of God by what takes place.

Now even though Jesus Loved Mary, Martha, and Lazarus, He remained where He was for two more days. Finally, on the third day, He said to His disciples, Come. It’s time to go to Bethany.

But Teacher, they said to Him, do You really want to go back there? It was just a short time ago the people of Judea were going to stone You!

Jesus replied, Are there not twelve hours of daylight in every day? You can go through a day without the fear of stumbling when you walk in the One who gives Light to the world. But you will stumble when the Light is not in you, for you’ll be walking in the dark.

Then Jesus added, Lazarus, our friend, has just fallen asleep. It’s time that I go and awaken him.

When they heard this, the disciples replied, Lord, if he has just fallen asleep, then he’ll get better. Jesus was speaking about Lazarus’ death, but the disciples presumed he was talking about natural sleep.

Then Jesus made it plain to them, Lazarus is dead. And for your sake, I’m glad I wasn’t there, because now you have another opportunity to see Who I Am so that you will learn to Trust in Me. Come, let’s go and see him.

So Thomas, nicknamed the Twin, remarked to the other disciples, Let’s go so that we can die with Him.

Now when they arrived at Bethany, which was only about two miles from Jerusalem, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. Many friends of Mary and Martha had come from the region to console them over the loss of their brother. And when Martha heard that Jesus was approaching the village, she went out to meet Him, but Mary stayed in the house.

Martha said to Jesus, My Lord, if only You had come sooner, my brother wouldn’t have died. But I know that if You were to ask God for anything, He would do it for You.

Jesus told her, Your brother will rise and Live.

She replied, Yes, I know he will rise with everyone else on resurrection day.

Martha, Jesus said, You don’t have to wait until then. I am the Resurrection, and I am Life Eternal. Anyone who clings to Me in Faith, even though he dies, will Live forever. And the one who Lives by Believing in Me will never die. Do you Believe this?

Then Martha replied, Yes, Lord, I do! I’ve always Believed that You are the Anointed One, the Son of God Who has come into the world for us!

Then she left and hurried off to her sister, Mary, and called her aside from all the mourners and whispered to her, The Master is here and He’s asking for you.

So when Mary heard this, she quickly went off to find Him, for Jesus was lingering outside the village at the same spot where Martha met Him. Now when Mary’s friends who were comforting her noticed how quickly she ran out of the house, they followed her, assuming she was going to the tomb of her brother to mourn.

When Mary finally found Jesus outside the village, she fell at His feet in tears and said, Lord, if only You had been here, my brother would not have died.

When Jesus looked at Mary and saw her weeping at His feet, and all her friends who were with her grieving, He shuddered with emotion and was deeply moved with tenderness and compassion. He said to them, Where did you bury him?

Lord, come with us and we’ll show You, they replied.

Then tears streamed down Jesus’ face.

Seeing Jesus weep caused many of the mourners to say, Look how much He Loved Lazarus. Yet others said, Isn’t this the One Who opens blind eyes? Why didn’t He do something to keep Lazarus from dying?

Then Jesus, with intense emotions, came to the tomb—a cave with a stone placed over its entrance. Jesus told them, Roll away the stone.

Then Martha said, But Lord, it’s been four days since he died—by now his body is already decomposing!

Jesus looked at her and said, Didn’t I tell you that if you will Believe in Me, you will see God unveil His Power?

So they rolled away the heavy stone. Jesus gazed into Heaven and said, Father, Thank You that you have heard My prayer, for You listen to every word I speak. Now, so that these who stand here with Me will Believe that You have sent Me to the earth as Your Messenger, I will use the Power You have given Me. Then with a loud voice Jesus shouted with Authority: Lazarus! Come out of the tomb!

Then in front of everyone, Lazarus, who had died four days earlier, slowly hobbled out—he still had grave clothes tightly wrapped around his hands and feet and covering his face! Jesus said to them, Unwrap him and let him loose.

From that day forward many of those who had come to visit Mary Believed in Him, for they had seen with their own eyes this amazing miracle! But a few went back to inform the Pharisees about what Jesus had done.

So the Pharisees and the chief priests called a special meeting of the High Council and said, So what are we going to do about this Man? Look at all the great miracles He’s performing! If we allow Him to continue like this, everyone will Believe in Him. And the Romans will take action and destroy both our country and our people!

Now Caiaphas, the high priest that year, spoke up and said, You don’t understand a thing! Don’t you realize we’d be much better off if this one Man were to die for the people than for the whole nation to perish?

(This prophecy that Jesus was destined to die for the Jewish people didn’t come from Caiaphas himself, but he was moved by God to prophesy as the chief priest. And Jesus’ death would not be for the Jewish people only, but to gather together God’s children scattered around the world and unite them as one.) So from that day on, they were committed to killing Jesus.

For this reason Jesus no longer went out in public among the Jews. But He went in the wilderness to a village called Ephraim.

Now the time came for the Passover preparations, and many from the countryside went to Jerusalem for their ceremonial cleansing before the feast began. And all the people kept looking out for Jesus, expecting Him to come to the city. They said to themselves while they waited in the temple courts, Do you think that He will dare come to the feast? For the leading priests and the Pharisees had given orders that they be informed immediately if anyone saw Jesus, so they could seize and arrest Him. (John 11:1–57 tpt)

1 — The Mysteries Revealed in John 11

Now, the one thing I can honestly say about my relationship with the precious Trinity is that They never make sense! As I write these words, I chuckle to myself, knowing those of you who know Them, Abba, Jesus, and Holy Spirit, can attest to the legitimacy of my seemingly peculiar statement. Those of you who don’t, well, you will soon! I have been walking closely with the Lord ever since 2011, and I have seen His holy hands upon my life. The Holy Spirit has led me into seasons of signs and wonders, where none of my steps have been orthodox; hence, it can never be said that any of the moves of the Father originated with me. Not a single one can be attributed to myself in any form or fashion. As I studied the eleventh chapter of John, I could not help but fall in love with Jesus all over again. I rediscovered the Jesus Who never really makes any (human) sense but Who always responds to faith. Mary and Martha, whose brother was Lazarus, obviously had a close relationship with the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, as they felt confident enough to send a message to Jesus, saying, Lord, behold, he whom Thou lovest is sick (John 11:3 kjv). Surely, they knew the somber news would pierce His heart. Their expectation, as is many of ours, was that their request would be treated with the utmost urgency, as we understand urgency anyway, and resolved forthwith. However, this was not the case with their petition. In reality, though, verses 4 to 7 reveal the nature of our loving Daddy, God.

By now you’re most likely thinking, How could deliberately waiting two whole days before making the journey to visit your dying friend when you are already nearby constitute love? Well, truth be told, Abba’s heart is to usher us, His beloved children, into a higher dimension of His love as we sojourn on this earth. Without question, our heavenly Daddy desires that we each come into an ever-increasing awareness and depth of intimacy with Him.

Since Jesus’s ministry had been widely known at that time, people already knew Him as healer. They had either witnessed or heard of several who were recipients of healing by His hand, but out of His great love for all mankind, along with the Father, He introduced Himself to us as the Resurrection and the Life! There is a lesson to be learned here, and that is that Abba’s delay is never His denial. As believers we are called upon to do just that, believe! We must engross ourselves in the study of the character of our Daddy God by engaging with Him through the pages of His Word. Then and only then will we be able to genuinely trust Him and trust in Him. Trust is vital, particularly when the circumstances of our lives do not line up with our wish lists or change on our timelines. Will you continue to believe that Jesus absolutely loves you and is working behind the scenes on your behalf when doors are closing in your face and it looks like all that could go wrong is indeed going wrong? Will you continue to praise Him and maintain in your heart and through your mouth that He is a good Father even if you lose everything? Will you cast all your cares upon Him, knowing He cares for you, and keep your eyes fixed upon Him and His Word so that He can keep you in perfect peace, or will you take matters into your own hands? If you’ve been believing the lie that you are unloved or forgotten by the lover of your soul, I encourage you now to repent before the Lord and ask for His grace to remain steadfast and immovable, cemented in His Word as you await His resurrection power to lift you up out of the miry clay. Receive His grace as you remind yourself of His faithfulness and of His promises. Go to the account of creation in Genesis and reacquaint yourself with the immense power of His spoken Word. Remember that you are made in His image and in His likeness, a speaking spirit, and speak the Word of God over every barren area of your life. The very same God Who spoke all the earth, the moon, and the stars into existence and sustains it by His Word is your Abba, Father! Whatever and whoever you focus your attention on becomes magnified in your eyes and in your heart of hearts, so why not magnify the only one Who can turn your darkness into light?

As John chapter 11 verse 9 assures us, any person who walks in the light of God will not stumble. Trials are designed to increase us. Our heavenly Daddy never wants us to grow through them alone; nor does He lay or allow a heavier burden that we’re capable of victoriously carrying.

Then Jesus said, Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light (Matt. 11:28–30 nlt).

I have removed your backbreaking burdens and have freed your hands from the hard labor and toil. You called out to Me in your time of trouble and I rescued you. I came down from the realm of the secret place of thunder, where mysteries hide. I came down to save you. I tested your hearts at the place where there was no water to drink, the place of your bitter argument with Me. Pause in His presence (Ps. 81:6–7 tpt)

It is always His heart that we progress in Him, with Him. We must ask Abba to see things through His eyes and to have His vision for our lives and for the world at large. Trials successfully won thrust us into promotion. They are sort of like tests one would prepare for in the AMBA of life. It is during these times of growth, and ultimately expansion, that we not only see more of Who Abba is but also get a revealing view into the core and condition of our own hearts (souls). It is in these seasons that we should be drawing nearer to our Father and seeking the fullness of His heart for us and even for others. It is when we choose to focus on His grace and allow it to keep us focused on His goodness that we truly grow in our knowledge of just Who our Daddy God is and who He has called us to be in Him, for Him, and through Him. Void of a revelation of the Father’s heart and of the mind of Christ, one remains on a diet of milk, like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food.

You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s Word. (Heb. 5:12 nlt)

I had to feed you with milk, not with solid food, because you weren’t ready for anything stronger. And you still aren’t ready. (1 Cor. 3:2 nlt)

Sometimes, like Peter, a step out of the boat is made, ignoring the raging storm going on all around, but we must let Peter’s example stop there. To take your eyes off Jesus, even for a moment, will cause you to sink, and rapidly so, beneath the anxiety, stress, and unbelief going at life alone will cause.

He said to his advisers, This must be John the Baptist raised from the dead! That is why He can do such miracles.

For Herod had arrested and imprisoned John as a favor to his wife Herodias (the former wife of Herod’s brother Philip). John had been telling Herod, It is against God’s law for you to marry her. Herod wanted to kill John, but he was afraid of a riot, because all the people believed John was a prophet.

But at a birthday party for Herod, Herodias’s daughter performed a dance that greatly pleased him, so he promised with a vow to give her anything she wanted. At her mother’s urging, the girl said, I want the head of John the Baptist on a tray! Then the king regretted what he had said; but because of the vow he had made in front of his guests, he issued the necessary orders. So John was beheaded in the prison, and his head was brought on a tray and given to the girl, who took it to her mother. Later, John’s disciples came for his body and buried it. Then they went and told Jesus what had happened.

    Jesus Feeds Five Thousand

As soon as Jesus heard the news, He left in a boat to a remote area to be alone. But the crowds heard where He was headed and followed on foot from many towns. Jesus saw the huge crowd as He stepped from the boat, and He had compassion on them and healed their sick.

That evening the disciples came to Him and said, This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away so they can go to the villages and buy food for themselves.

But Jesus said, That isn’t necessary—you feed them.

But we have only five loaves of bread and two fish! they answered.

Bring them here, He said. Then He told the people to sit down on the grass. Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward Heaven, and Blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, He gave the bread to the disciples, who distributed it to the people. They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers. About 5,000 men were fed that day, in addition to all the women and children!

    Jesus Walks on Water

Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that His disciples get back into the boat and cross to the other side of the lake, while He sent the people home. After sending them home, He went up into the hills by Himself to pray. Night fell while He was there alone. (Matt. 14:2–23 nlt)

As long as we continue to gaze upon our beautiful Creator, the Creator of the cosmos, we will continue to stay afloat, cheerfully walking upon that which, without a bull’s-eye focus on Christ, could drown us and take us out. As we walk and skip on the water, so to speak, hand in hand with our sweet Jesus, we not only see His majesty and experience His love but are also led beside the heavenly still waters. There He restores our souls.

He offers a resting place for me in His luxurious Love.

His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss.

That’s where He restores and revives my Life.

He opens before me pathways to God’s pleasure

and leads me along in His footsteps of Righteousness so that I can bring honor to His Name. (Ps. 23:2–3 tpt)

So let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. When you pass
