I Meant It for Good - Mary Rechkemmer Meyer
Praise
"A beautiful and well-written personal story. With God on her side, Mary takes you on a life-and-death journey of struggles and victories that encourage you to go deep with God until you experience your own victories.
Ron Hall, Author Same Kind of Different as Me,
#1 New York Times Bestseller
"I liked Mary the first time I met her—in the bathroom at a conference. She flashed her bright smile and introduced herself, ‘Hi, my name is Mary.’ I smiled and shook her hand. I was impressed. I was even more impressed when she took the stage to tell her story: a story of courage, compassion and resilience.
Mary’s memoir is a book for every woman who’s ever struggled to balance career and home, productivity and procrastination, fear, faith, and self-acceptance. Mary’s cancer diagnosis was the catalyst for her book, but the treasure was there long before. Mary’s writing is funny, generous, and true. This is a book that stays with you."

Mary Meyer has been a successful entrepreneur, businesswoman, goal-setter, and cancer survivor, and now she has written I Meant It for Good to encourage others to find success and peace in all areas of their lives. I met Mary a number of years ago and encouraged her to follow my practice of setting goals in six key areas: Professional, Spiritual, Health, Relationships, Emotional, and Financial. Since then I’ve watched Mary dream, achieve, and soar to heights no one could have imagined. This book will show you how to do that too.
Dr. Tom Hill, Speaker, Author & Dreamer
If you’ve ever met Mary, you know that she is genuine and sincere, just as her book portrays. This book is an inspiration for anyone who second guesses their own power. She shows how someone of a small stature exudes power through persistence and determination to heal. Truly remarkable.
Tina Asher, Owner Build U Up Consulting
Mary is a passionate, strong, and resilient warrior and champion for what’s good in the world, and in this book, you will clearly get that feeling as you share her life’s journey. At some point, we all have to deal with some kind of personal challenge; no one is immune. But it’s how you choose to deal with those challenges that matters. When you read Mary’s story, you will gain inspiration and strength, which you can draw upon when the need arises.
This book will not only become one of your favorite reads, but it will become one of those books that remains on your library shelves for quick reference. I highly recommend, I Meant it for Good, and I know you will soon realize that those very words and their intention shines through in the essence of her writing.

About the Author
Preface
I’ve wanted to write a book for a long time, but while I was raising a family and working, it never seemed to be the right time. Now that I’ve retired, I’ve finally run out of excuses! From this vantage point, I can look back at experiences that seemed like problems at the time and be grateful for the lessons I learned.
I waited until now to write this book because, in addition to being consumed with raising a family and work, in the past I listened to an inner voice that said, "Who are you to write a book?" My journey is probably not that different from yours. Because we’re busy being what we think someone else wants us to be, we often need permission to live our own authentic lives. This experience can be especially true for women. My hope is that you will learn something from my life that will help you live your own life and follow your dreams.
My life has been far from perfect, but maybe that’s why I needed to write this—to tell you that it’s okay to be yourself. We’ve tried for too long to be superwomen
who only show the side of ourselves that looks perfect. Or worse, we look at other people and think they’re perfect because that’s the only side they’re willing to share. We are who we are, and we need to embrace ourselves fully—both the good and the not so good. We need to forgive ourselves for our failures and move forward. We need to allow ourselves to be human and to ask for help when we need it. We weren’t meant to live in a vacuum.
I never knew how much growing up in a farming community with hard-working parents
