Introduction
Are you a doctor who is overwhelmed, stressed out, and underpaid? Are you a doctor who wants to monetize your medical degree beyond the hospital walls? Are you a doctor who wants to turn your purpose into profit AND leave your mark in this world? If you answered YES to any of the questions asked, then you are in the right place to learn from thirty-eight Medical Moguls.
Let me introduce myself. I’m Dr. Drai, Dean of Medical Moguls. I help doctors who are stuck, stressed-out, and overwhelmed build profitable businesses based off of their purpose, so they can maximize their revenue in half the time. Doctors, it’s time for you to live in your purpose, create more profit, and have the time freedom that you deserve. Remember from physics class: Mass x Velocity = Momentum? Here, you are the mass. I am velocity. While you are here at Medical Moguls, together we can’t be stopped.
What is a Medical Mogul you ask? A Medical Mogul is a business savvy doctor who replaces his or her hospital income by exchanging his or her gifts and passions for profit. The freedom that results from being in business creates lucrative revenue streams that move you beyond the exam room, from helping one-to-one to serving one-to-many. Basically, a Medical Mogul is a doctor who can do and heal more in less time.
Doctors, IT ALL STARTS WITH YOUR PURPOSE…. Purpose is a phenomenon that can change your life almost immediately. That is, when you find it. But many doctors have no idea how to find their purpose. And that’s where I come in. You see, before I became a Medical Mogul, I was frustrated, stressed to the max, and missing out on the precious moments of my life. Yes, I was a doctor who was supposed to be living the dream,
but I was unhappy day in day out until I found my purpose and discovered how to turn it into profits. Now, let us guide you to yours. Once you find your purpose, profit and time freedom will come.
Now, here’s the kicker that may surprise you. People will pay big bucks for information. Notice I said information
not a diagnosis, a care regimen, or a prescription – just good ole information. And you, my dear, are a walking encyclopedia. When you become a Medical Mogul, you set your own schedule and get paid for your genius, without pulling all-nighters at the hospital or clocking in
every day at the clinic. This means no more looking from the outside in while your single friends spend two to three nights a week hanging out and having fun while you’re stuck on call. No more spending your entire vacation answering calls from the office. And no more wasting the prime years of your life working a backbreaking schedule that leaves little to no time for starting or growing your family, hanging out with friends, or simply kicking back to enjoy your fabulous life. Now, lucky for you, this book is here to help you step into your new life of freedom.
Doctors, if this is your time to dominate the marketplace, to have the courage to be a legend, and to create an authentic lifestyle for yourself, this book is for you. If this is your year to lose the limits and to become a more productive YOU, and achieve everything you want in life, this book is for you. If you’re ready to break habits of self-sabotage and amplify your own personal power, this book is for you. If this is your season to master your significance and step into your greatness, this book is for you. Are you ready to learn from thirty-eight Medical Moguls, who have thirty-eight strategies but one goal? Remember to keep your eyes and heart wide open and most of all, enjoy the ride. Welcome to The Making of a Medical Mogul, Volume 3.

His Story
I grew up in southern Mississippi, the baby of eight kids. At six-years-old, I realized my calling was to become a doctor. My grandmother used to clean houses for doctors. I would go along with her to play with their kids because they had better toys than me. When one of my grandmother’s patrons let me listen to my heart with his stethoscope, I fell in love. I knew I was meant to be a healer. I began to study the human body. I graduated TOP in my high school, medical school, and OBGYN residency class. I served on a major medical board that represented 100,000 physicians. I landed my first job working out of sometimes ten offices for a non-profit organization that had revenue of 15 billion dollars. I have delivered over 3,000 babies and performed over 1,000 surgeries. I had an embarrassing secret though.
I was unhappy.
Physician burnout is real. I was stressed, overworked, and underpaid. I didn’t want to admit it because you know doctors are supposed to be perfect, right? Those feelings
are for regular folks. I am the American dream. Working everyday with the stressors and constraints of the healthcare environment was just too much. How can I heal others when I was not healed myself? I needed to breathe. I fell asleep driving home after a 36-hour shift. I was awakened by a police officer along the interstate just two hours before I had to report back to work. God, I’m listening! I could have died. I wasn’t walking in my purpose. My passion was gone. My gifts were being wasted. I was a prisoner to the money, the patients, and the perceived fame. Instead of charting patients until 11:59 p.m., I started charting my EXIT plan.
Because of this, I now have an award-winning blog, am a bestselling author, getting paid over six figures to speak, and have been seen frequently on TV in the top ten media markets promoting medicine to millions of viewers. Living in my purpose has allowed me to coach burned out doctors like me on how to use their medical expertise to make money in other industries. You deserve a lifestyle of time freedom. Monetize your medical degree! I just want you to be happy again. You can experience that same feeling you had when you first got accepted into medical school, when you opened your envelope on match day, or when you graduated from residency. Doctors, I want to help you shift from prison to passion and profit. I want to help you create a legacy for your unborn children, be able to spend time with your family, and to ultimately find a true work-life balance on your own terms and have active and passive streams of income. #MedicalMoguls, you are more than just a doctor, and you are more than just medicine.
I’m overjoyed and thrilled that you are raising your hands and saying yes! I’m ready for you, #MedicalMogul, to go beyond average, beyond the clinic, beyond the hospital to create a profitable business based off of YOU, your purpose. Are you ready to walk in your purpose, create more profit, and have the freedom that you deserve?
Advice to the Emerging Medical Mogul
In order for you to be a Medical Mogul, you must be comfortable with taking imperfect action. I love this quote, Winners take imperfect action. Losers take the time to create a perfect plan.
I know some doctors won’t take action because they want to be perfect and have the perfect learning environment. It’s our way of sabotaging ourselves, and it starts early. The kids who make all As are the doctors. The kids who want to please their parents are the doctors. The kids who do everything by the book are the doctors. Be okay with being imperfect. Find a tribe of like-minded individuals who you can exchange ideas with and who can hold you accountable. Accountability steers imperfect action.
Find your purpose now. The clarity of your purpose is in your pain. What’s your TRUE story? Not the story you tell your colleagues because you are trying to impress them but the painful story that you don’t want people to know about. A confused mind stays in indecision and is overwhelmed. Get clear on your purpose, doctors. Why are you here on earth? If I can remove all of your fears and self-sabotaging behaviors, what would you be doing? My biggest fear for you is dying before you have the chance to live life on purpose. You are here to serve humanity. You are here to make a difference. You are here to share your gifts with the world. All you have to do is show up.
I would tell my younger self to relax, have fun, and have no regrets. Movements are not built overnight.

In his free time, he enjoys maintaining his physical fitness, reading, and vacationing.
His Story
I am a double-boarded sports medicine physician and former assistant team physician to the NBA Dallas Mavericks. I am also a regular guest on the Dallas ESPN 103.3 FM radio show, Inside Sports Medicine. I have successfully run a direct sales business with over 1,200 customers, and I am currently the CEO of Bellard Enterprises and Dr. Brad MD. I am a published author, sought-after keynote speaker, performance coach, husband to a beautiful wife, and father to three awesome children.
However, about three years ago, despite all of the outward success, when I looked in the mirror, there were two things I couldn’t deny: (1) Contrary to what many people thought, I was underachieving and wasn’t living up to my full potential. I was playing small. Yes, I had successfully achieved my professional goal of becoming a physician and was running a part-time business. However, my actual performance in ALL areas of my life, both professionally and personally, was very average and so were my results. I was simply settling for less and going through the motions. I had to face the fact that I was performing poorly. I was underachieving relative to the standard of performance I knew could be achieved, and that was a difficult, yet much needed, pill to swallow. (2) I wasn’t fulfilled. I vividly remember being at home alone preparing to work another 24-hour ER shift. I felt stressed,
