Naomi Hafford-Smith was born ninth of twelve children in Kirbyville, Texas, in 1975 to Supt. Morris and Missionary Mary B. Hafford. Currently she resides in Jasper, Texas, as a loving, committed mother to four beautiful, talented children. Besides being owner and operator of her own salon since 1997, Naomi is a writer, poet, mentor, teacher, and volunteer at local churches, schools, nursing homes, and prisons. She is also a licensed Evangelist Missionary who is faithful in praise and worship while following God's lead and ministering the Word of God.

Introduction

In today’s society, many Christians are unequipped when it comes to spiritual warfare. We don’t become strong and effective until after we are faced with certain situations. The encounter alarms us, and immediately we seek God for direction; and He empowers us. But, what happens in the meantime? We seek others on the battlefield for help when they are indeed fighting unfamiliar sources; seeking for direction themselves. After a period of defeat, we are then driven to humbly submit to God where He furnishes the faith, releases the power, and grace us with wisdom on how to attack and conquer the devices of Satan. It’s called strategy. God commissioned His disciples to go out two by two once they had been tried, tested, and equipped for the mission ahead. Jesus Christ is the conqueror of death. God is Sovereign, our Master, and Creator of life. All power is in His hands. He overcame all tests. He conquered all demons, and now reigns over all Creation. Unclean spirits, demonic forces, familiar spirits, and all Satan’s kingdom of evil is doomed for destruction and subject to His voice and command. We need to utilize the access granted to us as believers by faith to boldly surrender our will and submit our way to His calling and order. Equipment comes after a ready mind is created and an open heart is positioned to do a work for the Lord. The quicker we become strategically aligned, power is released. In my previous books, A Woman’s Worth, I elaborated on healing. In Worth The Wait, I focused on perseverance. And finally in God Spirit Reigns, my main objective is to encourage you the reader to, Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, (2 Timothy 2:15). To be an effective disciple, we must be equipped before an encounter can occur. Eventually, our accountability will be is questioned. The bible distinctively tells us, Don’t be ignorant of Satan’s devices, (2 Corinthians 2:11). To accommodate our testimony, we need to be beneficial to the body of Christ and outside audience of witnesses that God Spirit Reigns. We are ultimately tried and tested before the release into the ministry field to see if we are capable of mirroring God’s image to a devastating world. People need help, souls need saving and lives are seeking change. The answer is not in old wives fables, religious practices, nor our modern TV series. Its simply revealed to us in our prayer closet when we humbly seek, courageously tarry, and precisely pray for God’s Anointing to cover, lead, and guide us. The ultimate help we need is dispersed to us by having Faith in an unfailing God. We daily must seek God and allow Him to Reign in every area of our lives. As we depend on His Word and reflect on the work He demonstrated while on earth, all the promises and provisions will become possible. Victory is achieved in every area of our lives once we apply the principles learned in the Bible. This book will be an effective ministry tool to reiterate the power God possess and how we are to be empowered once we embrace His sufferings, endure our tests, and overcome trials. After the proper procedure of training, then overcoming obstacles presented, the necessary spiritual arsenal has been released to begin warfare and obtain victory. Finally, we are presented to come forth enlightened, focused, and stro nger!

BASIC TRAINING

CHAPTER 1

Submit To Order

The word submit is regularly used and often mishandled. To submit simply means to come under, to humbly present, accept or yield to a superior force of authority or will of another person. It is the root word of submission; which is the ability to process or surrender through an act.

This truth, its value and validity is introduced to us early in the creation story. Your level of submission determines the sphere of your authority. Actually it is not your authority but God’s Spirit resigning in your life as He did in biblical characters we admire. Let’s first see how the Spirit operated independently of human involvement.

In the beginning, God sent His Spirit to reign where there was chaos. His Spirit introduced and imparted order. Look at how things were prior to the Spirit’s arrival, and how they were at the beginning of His reign. (Genesis 1:2) The earth was without form and void: and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Why did God choose to inform us of the Spirit’s position in the story of creation? One reason is because He wants us to observe that where the Spirit resides, there will be order in places that it did not previously exist. For thou I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. (Colossians 2:5)

The purpose of order from our Creator is so that we, His Creation, will learn to RESPECT, RESPOND, RELATE, and RECOGNIZE Him. God can be seen through the different phases and especially at crucial stages in our lives. We are commissioned to submit to God’s order, goodness, and righteousness. The result of learning to respect God’s order is experiencing His goodness; unlimited. There are two primary ways to instill respect. One is to earn it; the other is to command it.

Allow me to refresh your mind on a more indepth meaning of order so that you can best respond, relate, and recognize God’s order in your everyday life. Order: word, align, enact, array, force, group, ready, say-so, set-up, assign, decree, direct, divide, engage, obtain, line up, neaten, secure, settle, arrange, command, harmony, mandate, pattern, precept, routine, sort out, priority, regulate, authorize, tidy.

Yes, that was necessary to open your mind so you may see and think beyond your initial response to ‘Submit To Order.’ As we mature and continue to practice truth, your awareness of the need and benefit of submitting to God’s order increases. However, at times the occurence of submitting to wrong happens. The response to our action isolates us from operating in God’s divine order. The results place individuals in a position in the midst of a battle they are unprepared to face.

The way to catch and correct this inclination to ACT independently requires the installation of an alarm system. In the natural, this is designed to inform us when an intruder enters without permission. We are on alert for burglars, thieves, and unlawful entries. They can harm us, cost us, and disrupt the harmony of our lives. Likewise, when we fail to submit to order the results are more than a busted window, a broken door, and the theft of personal property and violation of our privacy.

Once we understand the consequences of our actions, we will learn the nature of the act. This helps us to distinguish how to successfully navigate through the various seasons and what to do at devastating stages in our lives. Life is a process that happens between birth and death. The application of the procedure becomes more eagerly embraced and change occurs. Submission positions us at the foot of Jesus. We rid ourselves out the equation by seeking His face. Guidelines for success and a strategy for victory become visibly seen and tangibly handled once God’s Spirit Reign in our everyday situations.

The process isn’t what takes the longest; it is the willingness to submit that determines the length of each given trial. We tend to outspan the course of maturity by being disobedient and failing to render God our heart early in our relationship with Him. To actually surrender means you solely trust what you desire or request to be presented to you. Through prayer, we open our heart in releasing a petition for the completion of assignment.

God knows what we need even before we ask. But when we ask, we must place
