3 Great Kings - Katheryn Maddox Haddad

    1 ~ King Saul

The number of great - grandchildren of Abraham continued to grow. It had now been 1000 years since Abraham had lived.  His great-grandchildren had spent 400 years as slaves in Egypt. His next set of great-grandchildren had been ruled by judges 400 years.

Now the Israel-ites (named after Abraham’s grandson, Jacob whose name was changed to Israel) wanted a king like all other kingdoms.

2nd, Saul would meet 3 men carrying 3 small goats, 3 loaves of bread, and a skin of wine. They would give Saul 2 loaves of bread. It happened just as Samu-el said it would.

3rd, Saul would meet some traveling prophets of God. He then would start speaking the words of God too. It happened just as Samu-el said it would.

Later, Samu-el called the Israel-ite people to gather with him so the people
