    Chapter 1                                                                                                                                          Why I Am Sharing

    My purpose for sharing these thoughts is that there are many people who have no idea how to have a genuine connection with a partner or spouse. Countless couples are not satisfied in their relationships, but it is often not obvious why this is so. I will be outlining options that will offer solutions.

    There are many books available purporting to offer solutions for the issues people have in relationships. Approaches range from making compromises and working on communication techniques, to being more accepting of perceived differences between the sexes. But I will not be covering these strategies in my explanations. I’m offering a broader approach.

    Many women have given up on relationships, often after having the same unsatisfying type of experience with different men – or they rationalise a situation, deciding ‘That’s just the way men are’ or ‘I’ll have to accept it’. Others keep searching in vain, hoping the next relationship will be different.

    Meanwhile, we hear so much about men being confused about how to behave in a relationship. In previous generations this perhaps seemed very clear for most. Now the picture is more
