Mary Truly is an American writer and illustrator. She grew up in the rolling hills of Freeland, Maryland. After traveling all over the U.S., she landed in Sedona, Arizona, where she has transformed into a head-standing yogi. There have been very few times when Mary has not had a drawing book and colored pencils at her side. She started writing stories when she was a teenager and has always dreamed of creating a children's book, like the ones she grew up reading and rereading every night before bed.
