Foreword

2020 was an uncertain, scary, overwhelming, chaotic, etc., year for most people in the world. Many would understandably say it was the worst year of their lives.

For someone with anxiety and one who doesn’t like uncertainty, I initially believed that 2020 would be the worst year for me as well. However, in all the chaos, I found a strange calm that helped me deal with the uncertain reality.

2020 allowed me to take a step back from things that usually drained my energy—like my social life (if you’re an introvert like me, you know what I mean), and the expectation that I needed to have a rich social life, etc.—and reflect on myself and my life. 2020 also gave me the time to deal with things I’d either swept under the rug and tried to ignore as best I could or declared that I would deal with some
