At Ben’s house, Eden Wade continued giving the teens advice on how to stop their ghost from haunting them.

Eden: The only way to stop your ghost is to go after it by entering the afterlife and dragging your ghost to this life.

Gustin: How?

Eden: There are two ways you can visit the afterlife. First, we can stop your heart, let you die for a minute or so, then revive you back. During the process you can snatch your ghost and bring it to this world.

Bama: Um...I think I’m speaking for the entire group when I say, ‘No thank you.’ What’s the other way to enter the afterlife?

Eden: The boy that was being haunted by his ghost entered a doorway between life and death. He traveled through the eternal maze, grabbed his ghost and dragged the ghost back through the doorway, which destroyed it.

Nikki: So our ghost is trying to drag us to death, but the boy did the opposite. He dragged the ghost to life.

Eden: That’s correct.

Nikki: How did the boy travel through the eternal maze without being stuck forever?

Eden: I don’t know, but I do know a little bit about the eternal maze, which-

Shelby: "How did he actually grab the ghost?"

Eden: I don’t know.

Gustin: How did he find the doorway in the first place?

Eden: Not sure.

Kaden: So what good are you?

Eden: "I’m telling you everything I do know, which might save your lives. I never claimed to have all the answers."

Nikki: But you do claim to be a medium, which is a person who can speak with ghosts. Maybe you can communicate with our ghosts.

Eden shook her head. It’s not like I can call them on the phone and say, ‘Hey, what’s up? Can you stop haunting teengers?’

Nikki searched her mind for a solution. Do you know where the boy lives who actually made it to the other side? Maybe we can speak with him.

Eden: I don’t know where he lives at the moment. It’s been years since I’ve spoken to him.

Kaden: Can you at least figure out where the doorway to the afterlife is located?

Eden: Of course...that’s easy.

Nikki had renewed hope. Where is it?

Eden: There are doorways all over the world...cemeteries and graveyards.

Bama’s eyes swept to each person in the group. "I hope all of you realize we’re talking about traveling to the afterlife like it’s no big deal. As for me, I’m keeping my mocha butt in this life."

Eden: That’s your choice. Just remember your ghost isn’t going anywhere. It will keep coming back until you join it in the next world.

Shelby: If we can really do this, I’m going.

Gustin: I’m going.

Kaden: I don’t think any of this is real, but if it is, I’ll go.

Josia shook his head ‘yes.’

Everyone stared at Nikki. The fireplace no longer seemed warm. In fact, the room turned cold.

She glanced at her friends, looked at Eden, then gazed at Ben. I’m not going to spend my life hiding. If there’s a way to stop my ghost, I’m doing it.
