N9NE Teen Ghosts Volume 6 - Ron Knight

    Part 1

    Wednesday, September 30 th , 2009

Eden stayed overnight and spent most of her time with Nikki. They discussed how Nikki traveled into the eternal maze, what she saw and everything she learned about life.

And everything she learned about death.

In the morning, Eden warned them that Dagan Scurlock would soon find this place.

Eden then offered two ideas; neither were appealing. Nikki and Shelby could return to Millington and tell everyone the truth. Doing that would probably land them right back in the psycho ward.

The second option was to wait here for Dagan and Trina. No one could predict what would happen next. Dagan and Trina might negotiate a deal with Nikki, Shelby and even Ben. The story would make national news.

Dagan and Trina would want to look like heroes, not villains.

After Eden drove off, Nikki thought that it wouldn’t matter if they returned to Millington, or if they stayed here waiting for Dagan and Trina. The ghosts really don’t care what’s going on in their lives.

At its core, the only thing these ghosts wanted was to drag Nikki and Shelby to the grave...nothing else.

As they finished dinner , Shelby had an idea. Maybe we should start acting like teenagers.

    Nikki raised an eyebrow. Meaning?

Shelby: Let’s have a freakin’ kick butt party!

The idea was simple, yet brilliant. Nikki and Shelby were teenagers. No matter what went on in the world, or the afterworld, it wouldn’t change who they were.

Ben was older, but he was still nineteen. Next year he would turn twenty and his teen days would be gone forever.

Shelby gave Ben a shopping list and sent him to Target. Unfortunately it was located in the next major city, thirty miles away, so Ben would be gone for a bit.

Meanwhile Nikki and Shelby stayed behind to prepare for the festivities.

Together they carried up a coffin from the basement. They also carried up a shovel, rake and pick axe.

It took both of them to lift up a headstone and lug it to the graveyard.

When they finished, Shelby thought of a song that would be perfect for the evening.

Ben arrived back at 7:30. I got everything on the list, plus one other thing. He pulled out a bag of Skittles.

Shelby: Nice touch. Let’s get ready!

Ben changed in the living room while Nikki and Shelby changed in the bedroom. Luckily Target put out Halloween costumes early. Ben purchased a king outfit for himself with a plastic gold crown adorned with fake green and pink jewels, blue cloak, orange tights and orange boots.

Shelby wore a purple medieval short dress that puffed up around her thighs with yellow string to pull it tight on the front. Her purple hair was pulled back with a gray headband. She then slid on a pair of brown sandals.

Nikki dressed in a long, crimson peasant gown. She pulled her hair up with scarlet ribbon and wore burgundy cloth slippers.

The king, wench and peasant used their tools to dig a pit in the middle of the graveyard. They filled it with twigs and logs, then started a fire.

    Lastly, they painted their faces
