ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
This book contains actual letters that were written to our children as they were growing up and had to go to college. In fact, the earlier ones were written much earlier before college days. We would like to appreciate those who contributed to making this book a reality. Naturally, it is impossible to mention every one by name.
First is our Lord Jesus. He is the source of all wisdom and knowledge including that which is contained in this book. Secondly, our family members starting with our hero, husband and father, Ken Worgu deserve a special appreciation for being always there for us even from the very beginning. We appreciate Erica Ken-Worgu for her suggestions.
A number of parents whose children have been mentored with the contents of this book together with the children who have benefited from the principles contained here and who kept asking that it be published also deserve special appreciation. You are the motivators for this book.
May the Lord Almighty bless you.

PREFACE
When my children were very young, I knew that I needed to communicate with them in a language or medium that would connect, so I decided on letters. They found these letters very useful in different phases of their lives including times of peer and other adolescent pressures. Now as adults and mentors themselves, they often have cause to refer to those letters. So they mounted pressure on me to have them published so that other children, mentors and even parent can benefit from them. This book contains actual letters that I wrote to my children to help them in their growing up years. There are several valuable life lessons in each letter in this book. Parents can share these with their children, relatives and children in the neighborhood or community. Teachers in schools and non-formal teachers can share these letters with their students. The contents of these letters are good resource materials for mentors and roles models who can share them with those who look up to them. There is a word in this book for every one of every age. Learning is a continuous life long process and the lessons in this book can benefit anyone no matter his or her age.

INTRODUCTION
A parent, mentor or teacher sometimes wants to teach a child, mentee or student but are at a loss for words. At other times, children, mentees or students ask some questions that the parents, mentor or teacher may not have the answers to. Sometimes, children just want to learn from their parents. Have you ever found yourself in any of such situations? This book, written in the form of letters, comes to provide the help you need to reach the people that you care for.
In different places, careers and professions, role models are influencing young people, as well as helping to shape their lives. I believe that each parent’s innermost heart desire
