Truth Works: Divine Life Lessons for Kids of All Ages
By Gina Sendef
()
About this ebook
While raising my three children, I have often tried to find books to help reinforce the spiritual concepts I was teaching them. Aside from colorful picture books for younger children, there was very little in the self-help genre readily available for bright youngsters seeking a special kind of knowledge to read on their own until now. Truth Works dismantles the negative life lessons our kids are taught by many adults in their lives. Reading, writing, and arithmetic arent the only things they learn in school. There are detrimental messages they hear on a daily basis from television, music, friends, and others. People unknowingly drop their false-belief bombs that can become ingrained into our childrens subconscious when they hear age-old, traditional sayings like money is the root of all evil, life is not fair, or you have to struggle to get ahead.
The premise for Truth Works is to undo this harmful programming at a young age, ensuring the subconscious belief system for our children is optimistic, safe, and secure. When we address these destructive beliefs in childhood and expose their false nature, they cannot reside in our subconscious minds for a lifetime as the basis for our beliefs. We are left with the pure, positive, and absolute spiritual truth.

Don’t Believe Everything
you Learn…
This book was inspired by my 3 children. Raising them has been the greatest joy of my life and also the biggest challenge. As my kids grow, I truly want them to be independent thinkers, not just believe everything they are taught in school or elsewhere. I want them to ask questions and draw their own conclusions about life based on what they feel and believe.
In order to do this, I have had to help them unravel a lot of negativity they have learned from others. I always thoroughly explain the details of common life lessons to undo damaging notions or to reinforce positive ideas. I firmly believe if you want to learn something valuable, the best way is to learn it for yourself. In other words, don’t rely on others to teach you everything, find out on your own. Reading is probably the easiest and most beneficial way to learn conceptually. I searched for constructive books for my children that taught them about life, universal laws, spirituality, angelic guidance, life purpose and their own power. Short of books with cute pictures and very little text or books geared toward primarily teen topics and issues, I found nothing for them. So I decided to write a book of my own not only for my children, but for kids everywhere; even for adults too.
Truth Works was created for young people who desire more information and guidance on these topics. It was made for youngsters like you, who have a yearning to find answers not available in school or on television and who are not afraid to question the status quo in an effort to become enlightened.
I am so glad you are reading Truth Works and remember, don’t believe everything you learn just because an adult is teaching it to you. When you finally realize the negativity of our long held life lessons does not work, you’ll understand why Truth Works.

Homework?
What do you mean homework? We haven’t even started yet! Okay, for lack of a better word, I am assigning homework. Anything worth learning takes practice. We will cover a lot of new concepts in this book and to make them a habit, you’ll need to practice. This homework is merely a suggestion and, the best part is, it won’t be graded. There are a few points I’ll mention here, prior to reading. There will also be some review questions or ideas for reinforcement at the end of and/or throughout each chapter. As for the adults reading this book, the homework is for you too!
• Read, read, read. School is not the only place to learn. If a subject is interesting to you, find a book about it. If you need help finding one on a certain topic, email me at info@ginasendef.com; I am happy to help.
• Do not be afraid to question what you are taught, even from this book. If a teacher or parent or anybody is teaching you something you do not agree with, ask questions. This does not mean you have to be rude or disrespectful, simply ask what you need to know to figure out if you want to hold on to this information or let it go. I am not talking about reading, writing or arithmetic here; you still have to learn that.
• Take notes. Feel free to take notes while you are reading, highlight information you want to remember, scribble in the book; whatever you want. If it helps you retain the information then go for it. There are some blank Notes
pages in the back for this purpose.
• Share this book. If you feel like a friend or relative (even a grown up) might enjoy reading this or would benefit from it, then you must share it with them; of course buying a copy as a gift is always welcome
• The dictionary is your friend. If you come across a word you are not familiar with, please look it up. Expanding your vocabulary expands your horizon.
• It is okay to not agree with me. If something you read does not feel right for you, that is totally fine. It’s your life and nobody can tell you what to think or believe.
• Dear God. When I speak of God in this book, please fill in whatever name you use for our Creator. God is the name I am familiar with, but it does not mean you have to use it; replace it with whatever feels right for you and your beliefs.
• Holy Angels. Angels are the messengers of God. Since I am an angel intuitive, I communicate with them all the time and so can you. When I speak of angels, please know that they act on behalf of God and all glory always goes to Him. Visit my website, www.ginasendef.com, for more information about angels.
Introduction
Out with the Old and
in with the True
Truth is essential in a person’s life. When we are not telling the truth or not being told the truth, unpleasant things will occur sooner or later. As a kid, you believe what you are told by adults because you trust them. What if some of the things those adults learned and believed from their childhood weren’t true? What if, for generations, we have blindly accepted traditional life lessons
as the truth without realizing their negative nature? This is what has been happening for generations, not on purpose but also not with any understanding of the implications. Many adults are simply not aware of these issues and they unwittingly teach the children in their lives what they were taught, without knowing the damage they may cause. That is the real travesty.
It is natural and reasonable to question what you are taught, question what the people around you believe and teach you to believe. In childhood, we receive many lessons. An enormous amount of our beliefs are formed in our early life years. We learn from lots of different resources; parents, friends, relatives, teachers, television, music, books and so on. Much of what we are taught and experience becomes part of our subconscious mind. This is the part of our
