Conclusion
Introduction
According to the National Science Foundation, an average person has approximately 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts a day. Of these, 95 percent are repetitive, and 80 percent are negative thoughts. Furthermore, the National Institute of Mental Health estimates that 16.2 million adults in the United States suffer from depression. This number represents about 6.7 percent of the population. World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that depression affects around 300 million people worldwide and is the world's leading cause of disability. Symptoms of depression include sadness, hopelessness, loss of interest in life, and in extreme cases, one out of every ten people commit suicide.
Simply put, our dominant repetitive negative thoughts can affect our beliefs, attitudes, and how we feel, think, and act. Therefore, if a person keeps thinking or having feelings of sadness, emptiness, hopelessness, or loss, it can result in depression, which is classified as a mood disorder. But there is more to it, because of our mind, body, and spirit connection our minds can also determine the health of our bodies. For example, prolonged negative emotions such as anger, guilt, or anxiety can sometimes manifest symptoms in our bodies as stomach ulcers or high blood pressure.
So how do we keep these dominant repetitive and negative thoughts away from our lives? In this book, you will learn why you constantly can't help but think of negative thoughts, and how they can impact your total wellbeing. The best part is you will also be shown 10 simple 5-minute strategies that will help you turn your negative thoughts into positive ones.
When you consistently apply the 5-minute strategies in this book, you will set yourself free from repetitive negative thoughts dominating your life. Are you ready to live your best life yet?
Every thought we think is creating our future.
