As long as she agreed to let the others in the group use her characters in cameo roles. Bronn agreed in a flash. Bronn is a woman of a certain age, as they say in books. Bronn and the other group members wanted to publish as many books as possible which led to a group decision to focus on writing short stories. That way Bronn and her friends could get more stories written and published for you to read. Maybe some novellas will appear over time.. Bronn loves to read romances with a HEA so she's sticking to writing them for a while. When she's not writing Bronn loves to go and photograph interesting places in the bush. Then try painting them. Some are recognisable. If you enjoy Bronn's stories, do please tell your friends. If you don't, Please tell Bronn. So she can learn from her mistakes.

CHAPTER 1
Alyssa leaned across the man who’d introduced himself as the Colonel and looked excitedly out of the window of the drone as it came into land on the helipad that spanned across the Henty Highway that snaked its way north towards Horsham.
You’re glad to be home by the look of it?
Asked the Colonel with a chuckle.
Yes I am.
I replied Alyssa. "It’s been a couple of months since I’ve seen my mother and sisters. This trip is even more special because I’m here to see my big sister Connie get married this coming Saturday up in The Rise.
Is your sister glad to be home from her time fighting during the Reprisals? Constance worked with me for quite a while then.
The Reprisals was the name given to the bitter and savage global fighting that had followed hard on the heels of the pandemic that had struck every country in the world back in 2020.
"So you’re that Colonel are you? Well I’m very that I’ve met you at last. Connie often mentions you in conversation. To her you’re some sort of major hero. Pardon my weak pun.
"Major hero, eh? Well my opinion its people like Constance and those like her who are the heroes. I was just lucky enough to be the one standing with them. What Constance and her army buddies did during the Reprisals was often beyond belief. She’ll never tell you about any of it because it was often too horrific. Your sister is a heroine, believe me. But enough of that. Now we are on the ground so let’s grab our gear and get off this drone.
Alyssa stepped through the exit doorway of the drone and stood waiting while the baggage handlers retrieved her luggage from the cargo hold. While she waited, she looked across and saw her mother and all three sisters anxiously waiting in the reception area for her. She looked across gave them a huge wave.
Once her luggage was safely in her possession, she made her way across to the mall reception area and entered the reception area where she was immediately wrapped in a group hug with her family.
"Gee, we’re glad you’re here at last said her mother. Millie Dalton was the epitome of a former wild child. She might have been a woman in her early fifties, but she still thought and acted like someone much younger. Too often, her daughters had looked on her as some kind of big sister. Even now that she was pregnant with her young partner’s child. Something else that Alyssa was having to get used to. Not that she wasn’t happy for her mother. Connor Browning adored her mother.
Me too.
Echoed the sisters in unison.
Okay let’s get out of here. There will be another drone coming in shortly, I imagine.
Said her sister Bianca.
Once everyone had gathered their belongings together, they swiftly made their way onto the escalator and down onto ground-level.
You guys wait here while I get the car.
Said Connie as she started walking away. "No
