About this ebook

Connie Dalton is home after twenty years in the Australian Army. The last eight as a member of the Australian Peacekeeping Force during the global atrocities that had become known as the Reprisals.

Her 182cm height and matching stature was an asset in the army. At home not so much. She could look after herself but having a protector would be welcomed.

She wanted to slow down and relax. Stop and read a lot of her favourite BBW Romances. Except that she couldn't find any.

So she did what her army training had taught her to do. If you can't find one...then make one.

Then she found another thing she hadn't known she was looking for. Making her life even more perfect.

This short story of 12,000 words is set in the 2050's. So it could happen.

    CHAPTER 1

CONNIE DALTON STOOD on the footpath outside the St Kilda Road army barracks where she had just officially parted company with her army employer for the last twenty years. It felt strange standing here wearing civilian clothes. She looked down at her to-die-for Pradas. Her discharge gift to herself.

She allowed her gaze to take itself on a visual tour much as she would have done when she was on lookout during her time in the Middle East. Serving as part of the Australian Peacekeeping Force. A time that could only be described as her idea of hell on earth. The senseless waste and destruction. The pointless deaths of women and children as well as their menfolk that had never asked for the Reprisals in the first place.

Across the road and down a bit stood the War Memorial. A place of remembrance of all service personnel who had gone before her. She nodded her head in respect. Noticed the group of young thugs coming towards her. Probably early twenties she thought. Should be at work. She saw them deliberately barge their way through groups of people and she wondered whether she should move aside and let them pass when they finally reached her. Then decided against it. She was a soldier after all. Or had been until less than an hour ago. She stayed where she was. Let the chips fall where they will, she thought.

Out of our way bitch. This is our footpath when we are on it. Move it! Said the young thug who seemed to be the leader.

And if I don’t want to move? Connie asked as pleasantly as she could.

Then I’ll knock you out of the way you troll. Look at the size of you, you gotta be a troll. Was the answer given as the hoodlum stepped forward intending to do as he’d said.

Things didn’t go according to plan. His plan that is. Connie rocked back on one foot as the man moved forward and then swung her other leg out and caught him behind the knees flipping him into the air and watched him land flat on his back. Then placed one foot on his hand so he couldn’t move it. Then her other foot lightly on his throat.

On full alert now, Connie waited to see what the others would do. Then moved her foot off the man’s hand and back from his throat then lashed her leg behind her and up catching one of his mates in the groin. His intention changing from attack to defence in an instant.

Seeing their leader and another lying on the ground, a couple of the others decided that a two pronged attack should work better. Wrong again. Connie watched them approach from each side and swayed back and reached out her arms to place her hands firmly behind each of their heads. Then dragged their heads forward, smashing them together. Then reversed her grip and pushed them apart allowing them to fall to the ground senseless.

Connie resumed her original position with one foot lightly holding the leader’s hand and the other hovering above his throat.

"Looks like you found another way to occupy the
